Yeah for some reason the 'shop a player' and trade functions seem to use two different 'systems' within the game.. Shop a player trades and initiated trades seem to yield very different responses

I believe that is fixed by giving negative value...

I believe that is fixed by giving negative value to overagers in trades, which has led to the above mentioned problem.

CHL (Canada) Overagers

AI teams are sending overagers to their affiliates, allowing them to have more than 3 contracted overagers. This appears to be making a shortage of overagers for other teams.

It is far to easy to trade overage players. If you are trying to make a deal and just include an overage player the team will accept the trade no matter what.

Anyone think this is because players are rated too high? Eventually you get to a point (2030) where players with a talent level of 7.0 are barely good enough for the NHL
