I do believe the 2 he threw in ATL had him shellshocked.

This in response to being booed. He also called them fair weather fans. Suggesting they boo louder.

Do these fans have no shame? The people that have to go to work every day, some coming home smelling like grease, and for very little pay, should know their place. This filth is going to boo this demigod?

These ingrates, these losers in life, should have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for seats, parking, to go to a crap stadium and pay 15 dollars for a hotdog, for just the pleasure of seeing their team in person. Go to a late game on Sunday night and get home around 1AM if they're lucky. Then have to go to work. Why do the sheep do this? To watch these magnificent specimens get outscored 64-3 in those two home games.
I could have done w/o the fast food worker comment. But otherwise, I think every body should have that attitude. I don't give a flip what anyone thinks of me if they ain't paying my bills. I care I'm in good standing w/God. I care I have the respect of my family, friends & co workers. I care about how my employer feels about my work. But everyone else? I could care less. Jesus raise the dead, healed the sick, fed the hungry, encouraged people to love one another & he was killed by a mob. If he couldn't make everybody happy, then why do I care to do so?

I mean, the Giants' line is getting booed because they just gave up 11 sacks to a team that, previous to last week, was having a lot of problems getting to the QB. A lot of that was on Danny Dimes because sacks are always bigly on the QB, and in the 2nd half especially I thought he had happy feet even with a relatively clean pocket. But that line just got boatraced and if there's any time when you're going to get booed, it's then.

Also I feel like dude's not going to have to say that he's in the National Football League for a whole lot longer...

I think Richardson is flashing as well albeit in a very different way. And Richardson was supposed to be the project of the trio. I agree that Stroud's looked just plain great and not even as merely an "NFL level talent"; it's only 4 games in but I think he's a potential Pro Bowler and might already be in that elite level the way Andrew Luck walked in and was just that good from the beginning.

My analysis of the top 4 available QBs was pretty simple.
Call me crazy, but I like when my QB can throw a ball and the target catches it.
Stroud seemed to be the best at that. That is why I was high on him. Arm talent is still the #1 thing I look for at QB
The other stuff is nice, but being able to deliver the ball to targets with accuracy and strength are must haves for me.

The fact he said he doesn't care is not why people got mad. Why should the lion care about the opinion of sheep is something a king would say about peasants. Apparently he does care, or he wouldn't have made those comments. The burger flipper comment goes right along with it. He's not a lion, he's a bust.

Shouldn't accuracy be a given for an NFL quarterback? It's like being able to field grounders for a shortstop or third baseman. They must be able to do that. I would expect a certain level of accuracy, but you can be the most accurate, and have the strongest arm, and still throw it accurately to the opposing team. Jamarcus Russell had great arm strength.

What separates good QBs from the bad is their decision making. Where to go with the ball. Accuracy is very important if all else is considered equal. Arm strength is a luxury. That's what I've noticed.

I have zero problems w/the analogy. He said he didn't care about the opinions of others on how he handles his business. I agree. If someone wants to take being called a sheep an insult then that's a "someone" problem. People think calling himself a lion is too high of an opinion of himself? Let me tell you, fans have too high of an opinion of themselves. We are all pawns gassed up by whatever entity wants to enflame our passions to get public opinion on their side. Calling himself a lion is saying he is proud of who he is and doesn't worry about approval from people insignificant to his life. Bravo.

The nerve of fans, who were probably hurling insults towards him all game questioning his mother's virtue & background, getting all in a tizzy that he called them sheep & fry cooks.

I only have the issue w/using grill cooks as a descriptive term for those insignificant to his life. No one working to feed his family & pay his bills should be made to feel like they are less of a person because their job isn't prestigious.

Yes, they took the sheep comment poorly. That comment goes hand in hand with the burger flipper comment. Basically saying they're trash. Or beneath him. Most people take offense to that.

If he had just kept it to boo louder, or I don't care. That's totally different.

In other news, Deshaun Watson was cleared to play in week 4 but decided not to. Needless to say, people aren't happy. Yeah, give more players fully guaranteed contracts.

The issue I have with the guy is that he sucked last week. The fact that he doesn't seem to want to take accountability for sucking is bad although frankly he's right inasmuch as he owes the fans nothing. Still, the week after your team was one sack away from tying the NFL record is probably not the time to arrogate yourself upon your fanbase.

Everyone has the right to their opinion. Agree to disagree. I think this is a case of people listening to respond & not understand. I'm more focused on the point he wanted to get across. I agree he could have expressed it better. But if you have a bad day @ work & 80,000 critics jawing at you, I'm not sure how many of us would be careful about our words under that kind of provocation.

Are you under the impression he didn't play because of his guaranteed contract? Are we under the impression the team's medical staff makes all of their assessments based on the needs of the player & not their employer, the franchise?

Here's the thing. If I clear a bit of forested area to build a cabin, I really don't care about the feelings of the animals I displaced. If Evan Neal truly doesn't care, then prove it by keeping your mouth shut. Instead, he took offense to the booing, and let people know what he thought of them. Nothing more than animals.

Lets also not pretend this was a bad day at work. The product on the field the Giants put forth has been garbage. The fans pay a boatload of money to go see them. It's akin to going to a 5 star restaurant, ordering $150 meal, and they bring you a flank steak. Of course you're going to boo. And Neal has been playing like trash for over a season already.

Actually no. I think he doesn't want to make the same mistake Burrow is making by playing injured. I only brought that up because there are players that tap out after a big payday. Giving them fully guaranteed contracts would only make that problem worse. Possibly turn the NFL into the NBA.

So... your complaint is that you're afraid Deshaun Watson might stay on the bench until he's fully healed, thus putting the Browns into a better position to win than the BS the Bengals are pulling with Burrow, thus also putting them into the NBA's situation where like Kawhi Leonard has taken a long-ass time to recover from injuries that take a long-ass time to heal, and also maybe the NFL will magically do load management with their 17 game seasons?

Yeah, totally reasonable... (note: sarcasm may or may not be present)

He was asked a question. He didn't come up w/his statement unprompted. He was asked how he felt about the fans reaction & he came up with an answer.

Which is another thing that gets me. People ask these athletes things & then get into a hissy fit when they get an honest answer. Or complain the player offers nothing but bland cliches like Belicheat. Hey, Public! MAKE UP YOU FRIKKIN' MINDS!

Uh, no. This was exactly a bad day at work. Let's not pretend it is something different just because his occupation is performed in front of 80,000 plus millions of screens. He may be bad at his job, but even those bad at their jobs have days when the bad reaches an extra level.

I'm not pretending the Giants are good. Nor do I criticize the fans for booing & being dissatisfied. I'm saying I've heard no argument so far that would make me think any player should grovel for grace & mercy from a fan base that has never done anything for them personally & never will. He shouldn't need people who can't tell a maxi-pad from a shoulder pad to let him know how he played that day.

If you're going to pay me before I go to work, guess what I might not do? I know I take all of my sick days every year. I get 15. If you give me 30, I'll take all 30. If you give me 100, guess how many sick days I'm going to take?

This is where we differ. If you're getting booed as a pro athlete because you suck, being arrogant about it is not the path I would take.

The fan base may not do something for him directly, but they're the reason he's getting paid. No fanbase, they wouldn't be in NY.

This is just like pro wrestling. Some people are heels and some people are faces. Some people will pander to the fans and some won't. Julio Rodriguez is great at being genuine and giving the fans what they want. People are probably never going to fall in love with some people that don't have as electric of personalities.
