I mean, the Giants' line is getting booed because they just gave up 11 sacks to a team that, previous to last week, was having a lot of problems getting to the QB. A lot of that was on Danny Dimes because sacks are always bigly on the QB, and in the 2nd half especially I thought he had happy feet even with a relatively clean pocket. But that line just got boatraced and if there's any time when you're going to get booed, it's then.
Also I feel like dude's not going to have to say that he's in the National Football League for a whole lot longer...

My analysis of the top 4 available QBs was pretty simple. Call me crazy, but I like when my QB can throw a ball and the target catches it. Stroud seemed to be the best at that. That is why I was high on him. Arm talent is still the #1 thing I look for at QB The other stuff is nice, but being able to deliver the ball to targets with accuracy and strength are must haves for me. |

What separates good QBs from the bad is their decision making. Where to go with the ball. Accuracy is very important if all else is considered equal. Arm strength is a luxury. That's what I've noticed. |

The nerve of fans, who were probably hurling insults towards him all game questioning his mother's virtue & background, getting all in a tizzy that he called them sheep & fry cooks. I only have the issue w/using grill cooks as a descriptive term for those insignificant to his life. No one working to feed his family & pay his bills should be made to feel like they are less of a person because their job isn't prestigious.

If he had just kept it to boo louder, or I don't care. That's totally different. |

In other news, Deshaun Watson was cleared to play in week 4 but decided not to. Needless to say, people aren't happy. Yeah, give more players fully guaranteed contracts.

Are you under the impression he didn't play because of his guaranteed contract? Are we under the impression the team's medical staff makes all of their assessments based on the needs of the player & not their employer, the franchise?

Lets also not pretend this was a bad day at work. The product on the field the Giants put forth has been garbage. The fans pay a boatload of money to go see them. It's akin to going to a 5 star restaurant, ordering $150 meal, and they bring you a flank steak. Of course you're going to boo. And Neal has been playing like trash for over a season already. Actually no. I think he doesn't want to make the same mistake Burrow is making by playing injured. I only brought that up because there are players that tap out after a big payday. Giving them fully guaranteed contracts would only make that problem worse. Possibly turn the NFL into the NBA. Last edited by Ragnar; 10-06-2023 at 08:51 AM. |

So... your complaint is that you're afraid Deshaun Watson might stay on the bench until he's fully healed, thus putting the Browns into a better position to win than the BS the Bengals are pulling with Burrow, thus also putting them into the NBA's situation where like Kawhi Leonard has taken a long-ass time to recover from injuries that take a long-ass time to heal, and also maybe the NFL will magically do load management with their 17 game seasons?
Yeah, totally reasonable... (note: sarcasm may or may not be present)

Which is another thing that gets me. People ask these athletes things & then get into a hissy fit when they get an honest answer. Or complain the player offers nothing but bland cliches like Belicheat. Hey, Public! MAKE UP YOU FRIKKIN' MINDS! Quote:
I'm not pretending the Giants are good. Nor do I criticize the fans for booing & being dissatisfied. I'm saying I've heard no argument so far that would make me think any player should grovel for grace & mercy from a fan base that has never done anything for them personally & never will. He shouldn't need people who can't tell a maxi-pad from a shoulder pad to let him know how he played that day.

The fan base may not do something for him directly, but they're the reason he's getting paid. No fanbase, they wouldn't be in NY. |

This is just like pro wrestling. Some people are heels and some people are faces. Some people will pander to the fans and some won't. Julio Rodriguez is great at being genuine and giving the fans what they want. People are probably never going to fall in love with some people that don't have as electric of personalities.
