Sure there is but I don't use that option much... someone need to be really annoying for me to use it, last time I did was for some guy named Dr. Dru eleven years ago.

But it's different for you... I have seen you being useful constantly since I became a member. The other guy I talked about is a cry baby and a troll.

I just don't get the curious to see what people think, line. So, whatever it's worth, I think the hockey people should work on their game and the baseball people should work on theirs, also. I don't know what you stand to learn from this. I'm out.

Not to mention that if someone quotes someone you have muted/ignored, you still see their comments.

TBF when a person is throwing out factually incorrect information about arcade games being similar competition to OOTP, I feel like it’s the duty of someone in the forum to set the record straight for newcomers who might be reading. Yes, the worst case scenario there is someone probably wastes like $10 on a game that isn’t at all what they expected it to be, but misinformation is like cancer: if you don’t stop it early, it spreads.

That said, I don’t think PSUColonel has been pulling those shenanigans. At worst he’s mischaracterizing the trolls/spammers as “just asking questions” but I don’t think he’s really doing that either. I will say that it’s awfully hard to create actionable criticism of a game that’s released yearly which you haven’t purchased in several of them, especially when the criticisms come about things like GM AI that does get incremental improvements every year (not saying it’s by any means perfect but you kind of have to check to see if your personal issue is still an issue before posting it) but tbh is much rather have a page full of that than a page full of a dude doubling and tripling down on silly opinions about sports (non) sims.

That's fair that you want to set the record straight, but I would also say that if anyone runs out and buys one of those games based on what that person posted here, they probably deserve to be out the $10.

And to be clear, I'm not blaming PSU or saying that he's feeding the trolls. It's unfortunate for him that his threads attract that type of behavior, but it's not his fault. I'm as guilty as anyone at getting annoyed by the constant criticism and comparisons to Football Manager, but I know his heart is in the right place and he only wants what's best for OOTP. I'm not sure the same can be said about a different poster who invaded his past few threads.

So...trying to drag us back ON topic, I haven't looked at FHM since probably v5. How DO they compare? Anyone?
