Trade Picks not working

I used pierres draft utility on my last offseason to re-arrange some picks as the game did not do it right. Had to move my league file to v6 and than back to 6.5 and now i cant trade picks in game....

Playing a player out of postion??

I have a team playing a player 3b Eric Chavez at SS in ootp 6.12 . .. i beleive this is the cause of the recent crashes in my game. Chavez has no rating at SS . . . should this cause that?
