Why in the heck would they sign Winston and then a week later, bring Wilson in for a year at $21 million? Yes, Syd, I suppose Wilson is a much better QB.

But what happened to the idea of Winston being the caretaker and mentor for a season or two while the team finds and builds around its QB of the future? But, come to think of it, that was a construct of my own mind, wasn't it.

That's a lot of money to spend on Winston's backup.

Reportedly, the Vikings may end up "stealing" Aaron Rodgers from Pittsburgh.

EDIT: Well, there is this:

The nose wipe is a gang sign associated with the Bloods, indicating someone is untrustworthy.

Depending upon how strong an association this gesture is and how well it is known, I can see the NFL being disturbed by it. In recent years, there has been a whiff of gangland about the sport at times.

Google "gang influence in NFL" and scan the video and article hits. I am not saying any of this is true. I am saying that the NFL does not want to be associated with even a hint of it.

Back when he first did it around 2020 or 2021, I suspected it had meaning so I looked it up. I can't find it anymore because every page is flooded with Lamb articles.

It wasn't only used by the Bloods. It meant that you've been beaten, and badly. Or will be. Like a warning. On the streets it's a violent gesture, on a football field it is not. I took it to mean he beat his guy, and badly.

QBs today are not like QBs of yesteryear. They need time in the pocket. Rodgers is no exception. He looks like dog crap under pressure. Do the Steelers have an OL that can protect him?

I always watch weekly highlights from Urinating Tree and Chiseled Adonis every week.

QBs of yesteryear were way less accurate and threw way more picks than QBs of today. If anything much more is asked of them now than before (except when it comes to calling plays).

Agreed. I watch a lot of old games. Even the championships of the 50s and 60s. They can be interception machines. But they don't have any time to throw, so when you see a good QB back then.......

Their arm strength was nothing like QBs today either. I'm just saying the good QBs back then did it under constant pressure.

I think this rumor was put out to see who wasn't paying attention. This trade isn't even possible for multiple reasons. It can't happen. It's like the rumors of Trump running for a 3rd term. Not possible, yet people are stressing over it.

Not stressing...about either possibility. Trump isn't going to make it another seven years, in any event.

There's too much money involved for Dak to go to Cleveland. Watson's cap hit is close to 40m this year. Dak would add another 40m. Watson's cap hit is 80m next year, ad 40m to that. Then I'm pretty sure Watson's void years adds up to 80m plus Dak's 40m.

Dak also has a no trade clause. He would have to agree to the trade.
