Not sure about that statement at all. With the last couple years and the leagues that were removed, I've actually been enjoying the Show more than OOTP. The biggest advantage this game had previously was the baseball universe. I'm much more excited to get early access to the show this week than OOTP. Will I buy OOTP? Probably. But the lack of advertising for new features leaves me little to no excitement so far. OK we have the development lab... it might work correctly by May if we're lucky, based on previous versions of the game. Before the old timers complain... I will give this game credit for addressing issues after release. But they seen to not do a good beta test. The ratings changes could be interesting but like 99% of the new features over the years, it will take lots of trial and effort to get because the developers don't actually update their game manual to explain these things. It takes the customers trial and error before there will be any simple understanding of these changes.

It's interesting that the majority of posters doing the most complaining have the fewest number of posts. I have no way of knowing if number of posts relates to age, but I do have my suspicions, LOL.

Just for the record, most of the mature comments on this thread are from folks who have been around a long time. That's because we KNOW this game, we KNOW these developers, and we KNOW what we're getting.

It's obvious the new folks don't - and have little interest in finding out since they spend so much time here trying to tell a company with a market cap of 360 million dollars how to run their marketing department, LOL

I think you should buy the game at the reduced price because I'm fairly sure your going to enjoy it. But, if you want to play corporate wizard, go play The Show.

As a newbie. This thread is super weird. Everyone is so aggressive or defensive. I only see that with games that sell multiple million copies. Weird behavior for a small Indy title.

Fans boys can't stand any sort of criticism of the game even if it's justified. We have done this every year since the new owners took over and tanked any marketing budget. The ways they bend over backwards to defend them gets worse every year.

At this stage there's no point in arguing

Looking at this thread as an outsider you bursted into the scene 4 pages in and basically purposely antagonized people who wanted more info.

Why do care that these people want more info. Let them want more info.

Seems weird people or a group is being attacked for asking for more info about a game release. If you disagree why even waste time replying. Just move on to a thread that interests you.

Lots of personal attacks on both sides. Either way that can't be defended.

But if this group wants more info just leave them be. Then we have other users gatekeeping based upon number of posts or when they signed up. None of that matters everyone gets a voice.

Yea there is only so much "extra" money to be spent these days with the inflated prices on gas. OOTP is maybe 5th on my priority list at best. WWE2k was the first must buy, then there's College football and madden in summer to pate summer. I'd been the same way on deciding on the show as well but it's included with game pass. I also don't have hours upon hours to game like I did when I was young. My wife and I try to travel considerably since the kids are grown. My eyesight isn't what it once was... so I prefer to game on large monitors or tvs. So with a 15 in laptop when traveling, that doesn't happen nearly as much. It's not necessarily the 10 bucks in a vacuum by itself... it's when you look at the total dollars spent on gaming and collectibles... I try to be responsible. So yes it does make a huge difference to that budget when I'm trying to decide on a game
Because it isn't just the 10 dollars... it's is there anything worth upgrading from OOTP24. I'm very happy to continue playing that version if nothing about the new features will interest me. I'm not the kind like some to respond here who act just like this company has a new game, I'll blindly buy it out of some crazy form of loyalty. Which from what I've seen from the developers isn't really reciprocated back to the customer base.
