To me, Com2Us declared war on its users. I don't think Markus would have done this before Com came into the picture.

I think it was made by mistake, it was not intended to affect the saves but now they can't fix all the bad that was done by it. And of course I don't think they are about to admit it. Just my 2 cents.

By the way, it looks like it's still scrambling MLBPA guys. Had a save I was testing with last week using forbidden word. I moved Trout, Soto, and Judge to the league. AFAIK the teams were random named, just had the league name as I thought, at the time, that'd be enough. It didn't scramble though, figured maybe needed more and didn't feel like playing around so went and did something else (I'd like to say more productive, but pretty sure I just went to play The Show or watch Youtube haha).

There is now:
Hughie "Ferret" Kiume aka Mike Trout
Yefu Adeboro aka Aaron Judge
Selam "The Snake" Masibuwa aka Juan Soto

Obviously these are extreme examples, but that was the point. I wanted to take some very big names that were guaranteed to be covered by the MLBPA license and show a big issue with the scrambler.

Also, to the question why I loaded this up now, it's because I was planning out a fictional save and wanted to see which nations have highest quality of baseball in the game (to make leagues for). That was just the last save I had "played."

I get that...I guess the point I am trying to make is that a lot of people warned of something like this. It's uncanny. I am not even saying "I told you so" either, as I was honestly cautiously optimistic at the time, hoping the increase in revenue and resources would actually help OOTP. Man was I naive.

Unfortunately all good things come to an eventual end. At least, and maybe not everyone sees this as a silver lining... but for me, OOTP23 is a much better game out there than any other baseball game of the genre. Tbh, OOTP22 is also far and away a better game as well. I've come to realize that it doesn't do a bit of a good to complain on here. 3 things will happen, 1) the loyalists will defend OOTPD to the bitter end 2) Mods will delete posts or issue warnings and 3) Devs will ignore things til the end of time. What good does any of that? That's why I'm trying to move on and figure out if the future of this game is in the scope of what i want to play or do I stay where I'm at on 23.

I guess it depends on one's point of view. Me? The game has improved greatly for the way I play since C2U came into the picture. I'm not going to list the ways, there's really no point.

Users having their saves messed with is not cool, totally get it and you'll notice I haven't really posted much in any of the threads dedicated to the topic. I have posted once or twice in other threads where spamming is taking them off of their original topic. Losing Japan's "redacted" league itself, to me, is not that big of a deal. Again, no reason for me to list my reasons as I it's not important enough IMHO to debate.

With everything going on it is a serious situation for OOTP Dev. I have no control and have no inclination to worry about it. What happens is going to happen.

In my experience the OOTP team has been far more open to community feedback than any other game I've every played. I know Perfect Team is a dirty word around these parts, but almost all the biggest and best improvements to that corner of the game have been community driven.

Yep...I would love to do that also..but I am stuck with the 110 build Mac version. I guess if I had an earlier build it wouldn't be as terrible.

I had it the night before this all went down...but unfortunately due to some unforeseen circumstances I had to uninstall and re-install. By the time I re-installed, it was too late, and the new build was 110. I even spent the extra 20 bucks in an effort to prevent the changes.

I get your point, but what's to say that this would not have happened had OOTP not sold to Com2Us? We are a little naïve to think that that league would not have found out sooner or later and made them do this anyway.
