Draft rankings data sheet for excel

A video for anyone interested in doing some OOTP stuff on excel.

Pretty nice for idea's on how to build some formula's in that aren't in OOTP if you are interested in making a draft board for your offline/online leagues.

Some interesting ideas in there. I've never used slicers, but I'm going to try them out now. Thanks for pointing it out!

You might want to look into nested if statement alternatives though. For example, formulas like at 3:25 can become really cumbersome. I know, I used to use them years ago. Personally, I use index match a lot, but a lot of sites recommend IFS and CHOOSE now. I saw you use XLOOKUP, maybe try out the others as well and see which you like best.

This looks super cool, and I get that you want the 'proprietary' advantage in your leagues for having put in the work, but without actually posting a link to a copy of the master sheet it doesn't seem particularly helpful as 95% of it is "If you have the cool formulas I do, it will spit out this useful ranking for you".

I don't think it's that necessary that he share his file. For one, for those who don't know how, he does show how he did it and he's pretty open about his formulas in the video, which not everyone would be. Yeah, it would take some effort for someone to reproduce it, but fair enough, they did do the work. For two, he uses weights that I don't think many others would use. Most people would probably want to do things differently somehow. Finally, he's got so much info there that it'd probably be too much for most.

I took it as, "Hey everyone, if you never thought about putting OOTP data in a spreadsheet, look at all the cool stuff you can do with it!". It sounds like he's still kind of new to spreadsheets and he's proud of what he created. I think a lot of us have been there. I still get that way, on a regular basis even, when I think of a new way of doing something in a spreadsheet.

Harvey, I appreciate your video and I'm sure some others will too. If you don't want to share the file, don't. I don't share all of mine. It takes some guts to show your work and make a video, so good for you.

Same. Cool stuff, but it'd be like a logo maker showing us the cool logos they made and telling us to trace to make our own

FWIW, I asked him in the YT comments if he'd either sell or share the spreadsheet and he indicated that he would.

Has anyone gotten a hold of the spreadsheet yet? I watched the video and the formulas, etc. are very intriguing.
