Why don't we let the new players come in and change all the rules? That way nobody will know what they are joining.

OL league rules will remain the same as originally indicated. Anyone who wishes to restrict their available pool of cards above and beyond that are free to do so, but it's not going to be mandatory.

feel free to start your own league with all the card limitations you wish if you don't want to join here and give it a go. It would be interesting to see how it plays out |

Sounds like PT launches tomorrow (huzzah). So the first OL league play should start next week. If you haven’t posted your team name/manager name combo yet, make sure that’s done by Sunday so you not only give others time to add you to their friends list, but also so you can get your list updated.
Going to change my typical PT start routine of waiting until the next Monday to get the full week of entry play, and just dive in tomorrow as soon as it’s ready (figure a day+ of missed entry play/points isn’t going to be that big a deal). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Gold crown works…. If you get all the crowned logos created and shared, nothing says if someone is feeling ambitious they couldn’t update the crown color to match the tier and share those too…. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Also going to dive in with my OL teams tomorrow. It's close enough to where a good amount of points can still be made.

Here's the OL teams so far.... list does not include anyone who hasn't declared a team name yet, so once you setup your team for the entry pool, be sure to post your team name/manager name here.
and reminder for entry pool play: ALL cards are eligible to be used in the entry pool (including Live/Future legend/etc). Make the best lineup you can to maximize your point production for the week. Just be sure before league play kicks off next Monday that you've removed those cards from the active roster and have your OL compliant roster ready to roll. |

I've been playing around with logo stuff, but I'll try to get on top of the other graphics this week. I'm gonna get organized with Gimp/Inkscape so that it's quick and simple to bang out any of the awards each week. I'll definitely want to share stuff with any interested parties at some point, just for whenever I may not be able to do things. Can't resist putting my signatures up today

I'm not in, as of yet however, for me the fun was starting at the very bottom and working my way up.
This is important especially since in the last few years, I have been only able to make it to Gold however, never was able to do well enough to stay in gold. So from my point of view, why rush to start so I can get into in Bronze or Silver quickly, if 5-6 months from now, I will be stuck there anyway. ![]() On another note........ PT22 was the first year I ever did Pack-Only and I really enjoyed it. I have no plans to ever go back to acquiring players from the AH. For PT23 I plan on doing pack-only again however, I am kicking around the idea of just buying Historical Packs only and not using my earned PP to purchase any other type packs. If I were to receive "other-type-packs" through rewards and drops, that would be OK; I just would not purchase any non-Historical packs...and no buying players on the AH, just selling them. I am also kicking the idea around of not saving high rated cards to complete missions and playing with Historical Bronze and Iron cards only as I think those level cards were, as a whole, the most enjoyable historical cards of the whole game, as I really enjoyed their art design. The exciting action of OL baseball is headed to Brazil, France, and Texas with the arrival of McGroup franchises in each country. Simultaneous unveilings were held in each location, with local government leaders on-hand, along with literally tens of fans who are excited about the delayed PT23 season’s beginning.
McGroup CEO, Fred Farklemarkle, addressed recent rumors circulating in the baseball community about the motives and intentions of the franchise movement. “This really is all about making OL baseball a global game. Everyone in our organization is excited about the opportunity to become involved in the local communities and to familiarize themselves with local customs and culture. While this does present challenges in terms of travel and logistics, everyone has expressed the desire to see the world and play ball!” Farklemarkle went on to explain that the cities that each franchise leaves remains part of their minor league system. The movement of teams for the McGroup franchises looks like this… The West Burlington Farmhands (timmcdaniel) will be moving south, to Brazil’s state of Minas Gerais to become the Belo Horizonte Peasants. While the word “peasant” is used derogatorily by some, the term at its root refers to a “country dweller”, and the country of Brazil, and the city of Belo Horizonte (“Beautiful Horizon”), is a place of tremendous beauty and hard-working people. The Peasants new stadium, Belo Palacio, is part of a larger urban renewal venture spearheaded by McGroup. The Gear Terrace Warriors (ziphbarrett) will be leaving New Zealand’s shoreline and moving to the rich wine country of France. The Bordeaux Zoologists will begin play at The Zoo in OL23. The Zoo will feature the typical amenities of most current ballparks, while adding unique features, such as several wine-tasting areas, a small animal petting area, and the Center Field Charcuterie. While wine will definitely be a feature, the club will attempt to stay clear of the cellar. Finally, the South Holland Caminos (mcgator) will motor back to the United States to begin play as the Fort Davis Waves. The Waves ballpark, Kuiper Field, will not only be home to the OL team, but on non-game days will serve as the nation’s largest observatory. |

I am doing a packs-only/Perfect Draft only OL team this year. No cards bought off the auction house. Not going to be working on tournaments or missions at all this year. My cards will be all pack-pulled and hopefully some Perfect Draft rewards cards if I'm lucky enough to win some of those.
Drew my starter and loyalty packs this afternoon and I'm off to a solid start with 85 SP Rich Harden (A's) and flexible 71 C Phil Nevin who can also play 1B/3B/RF. Almost got enough coin to buy my first Historical Pack. Most/all of my coins are likely going to pooled and go into Historical Packs (which at 10k a pop is not an easy road). But hey, slow build and it will be fun. Team name will be: Savannah Deckers - OL |

I would be interested in this. Is it a lot of work to update the friends list frequently? I am liable to forget about PT for a few weeks at a time.
How does it actually work? There would be like 10 "Our League" teams in a larger league and you would total the games we actually played against each other? Or are we able to get entire leagues to ourselves? |

Finally got my initial team pulled...
Team: Baltimore Barons Name: HRBaker Since I plan on running only one team this year (and it will be an OL team), I'll try and keep up my posts with how I build the team... not because I'm good at it, but to generate some discussion. Opening my initial packs, I ended up with this to start; C 67 Wilbert Robinson 1896 1B 57 Joe Pepitone 1966 2B 46 Dave McCay 1980 SS 60 Orlando Cabrera 2003 3B 48 Bill Sudakis 1969 LF 50 Turner Barber 1919 CF 89 Dode Paskert 1912 RF 75 Nick Markakis 2008 DH 66 Chuck Hinton 1965 SP 95 Frank Tanana 1975 SP 83 Max Lanier 1942 SP 68 Wayne Twitchel 1975 SP 67 Bruce Dal Canton 1975 SP 66 Ferdie Schupp 1916 Relief staff consists of 65-62-62-60 In addition, I pulled the following top LIVE cards which I will play this week for maximum PPs, then sell... CF 100 Mike Trout CF 95 Harrison Bader CL 91 Ryan Pressly SS 84 Xander Bogarts LF 84 Mark Canha Pretty average pack-pull but I got a little lucky with the LIVE cards.
