Of course the patch would time out 2 hours into the 4 hours and I would have to start over. So, with my crappy internet, Steam is great.
Steam is great for a lot of people.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

lol like most of your arguments, just because you repeat yourself a bunch of times, doesn't make it fact

I like Steam, but I like the download. Just depends on my mood. I have two computers that run OOTP so Steam makes me happy.
Never have any issues running my Steam in an offline mode.

I like Steam because I have the internet and I am one hour away from a computer store. Steam is a gaming store that delivers almost instantly what ever games I buy and I never had any problems with and that's with several types of computer that I have owned over several years.

To me, Steam is definitely an asset.

As usual, you missed the point and the proof. Go back and read all of the user testimonials, son, as you are just as dead wrong as you always are.

I can tell you I wish I had steam or the Internet as a teen, it was over an hour to a store that store good computer games. And it was a craps shoot by looking at the boxes to see what a good game was. Got lucky with civ back in the day, gamers have it so easy now a days. Forums, reviews on line and player reviews on steam, real nice

The reviews on Steam from people who already own and play a game have been the deciding factor on whether I buy it or not more times that I can count.

I use to rely a lot on the PC Gamer magazine game reviews years ago.

Agreed. I use the reviews a lot to guide my purchases. I find I get exactly what I expected and I am almost never surprised by something bad. These are great.

Yes. When guys with hundreds of hours played all say "This is a great game, and here's why," I pull the trigger.

Honest question: why? Does it somehow sync your league files or something?

The answer to that is in Fyrestorm's explanation in message #17 of this thread.
