In the Stats and Leaders screen, when looking at league hitting/pitching leaders and projected batting/pitching stats would like to see league record displayed in category name. For instance in my random debut league Cobb and Ruth hold the batting and HR records respectively:
Batting Average (T. Cobb, NYN 2001 - .414) 1. B. Terry, NO .390 2. B. Lowenstein, DET .358 3. F. Thomas, CHN .348 Home Runs (B. Ruth, CHN 2002 - 74) 1. A. Fernandez, POR 57 2. B. Ruth, CHN 48 3. C. Floyd, CIN 47 Last edited by chickennoodle77; 07-21-2012 at 12:55 AM. |

I don't know if this has ever been suggested but in the free agent create a player screen I would like to be able to select all random batters only.

YES. I can't tell you how many times I've selected random and it creates a reliever.

Allow users to set own defaults when creating and adding leagues. I like to setup an association of 50 states, but changing the rules for each league is tiring. Like to save my defaults to make it quicker and easier.

How did you 'request scouting on amateur players prior to the draft'? I can't seem to find that 'command'????

Two suggestions for patch 5....
I play historical, commissioner only, control all teams.
For some reason, regardless of how good a scout is for a team, every teams' scout sees every player in the draft pool as 1 star or less? Also, since I play the way I do, can the 'act as' automatically go to a team I choose and the 'panes' ratings reflect that team's scout's findings? (draft, roster, free agents, etc...) This will save me millions of mouse clicks!

Why is it that since moving my league from 12 to 13 the last three seasons when i auto sim the draft no one gets selected and all draft eligible players move to free agency? This is a problem that only began after I moved to 13.

Just thought I would throw in a few things. I have eye trouble due to age and diabetes so reading the pbp script can be a strain at times.
I know they can't increase the type size and the bigger type size that is offered that creates the big pbp box of course takes away from the atmosphere. But for me it would be like increasing the type size by 2 levels if it would be possible to have the option of the pbp background to be white and the print a bold black. I would think that would help others with sight problems. Down the road it would be helpful if the player could choose what lines to include in the expanded player's stat boxes. Just too many lines for me and too much stat overkill. Would be neat to just choose the lines you wanted. Thanks for listening to an old man. I enjoy OOTP but don't play very much because of various problems with sight etc.

I couldn't agree more, Jack. In fact, I just updated this request in the DB. And I set it to the highest priority. Just a couple of changes would make the in-game experience for the sight-challenged more enjoyable.

I found this thread... http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...icities-2.html
I'd like to be able to have realistic names and ethnicities throughout time in a fictional historical league, or be able to edit something so I can do this myself and mimic things like the color barrier. Andreas said a few months ago in this thread... I'ld like to add the value "year" to the ethnicity data. So you can have several ethnicitiy data sets for each year or decade. For example we could have ethnicity data sets for the USA for the following years: 1900, 1940, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1981, 1982, whatever. In this example, the 1900 data set could contain 5 ethnicities and the 1960 data set could contain 40 ethnicities. And you could add a 1920 data set anytime which then would be used. We would add an in-game editor for this so you could add/delete/edit data anytime after starting the league. When OOTP creates a fictional player, it would look for the game data, for example 1974 and then it would use the data set for the year 1970 because it's the best matching record in our example. |

21C...
Hmmm. Are you serious? Never ever heard of this possibility before. Went o preferences and found the app.cfg. It only has 1 or 2 k in it and it is blank. You are kidding me, right? OK, the old man took the bait. Just finished reading about the cfg file in the manual along with some other stuff. Nothing...about changing text to speech. Could have been interesting if such a thing existed. Back to squinting.

I would like to be able to be able to ask for certain type player when shopping a player. For instance:
1. I am out of the race and want to shop my stud outfielder, but would only want prospects in return, I could get repsonses from teams that would give me offers of their prospects only, not a bunch of high priced vets. 2. I am in the race at the deadline and want to trade some prospects for someone who could start at 3B for me. Give me an offer for a 3B and tell me what prospects you would want. Hope that makes sense? |
