I thought it did. My understanding of waivers in OOPT is basically that you have 3 years of options once you put him on the 40-man roster, whether he goes to the bigs or not.

I'd guess not if they have the 4th worst record in baseball. Since only 3 teams could take Brown away from Pitt's, there must only be 3 team worse. Maybe thier scout likes him better.

You're assuming no off days, though. Usually a team will be off either Monday or Thursday during a week, so a lot of times there will be an extra day's rest.
