If the run is important - then yes, the players should try to tag on a ball hit to CF.

When you are down 3 in the late innings, and only have one out, you should not be trying to score one run...

As I mentioned, it was the first game of the season. If you have two doubles in the first game of the season, you can't have three doubles on the season. Just 2 :)

On the "doubles" line it says J. Smoak 2 (3, What's the 3 about? If Smoak had 2 doubles and 3 hits, I count that as 5 total bases. This shows he had 6.

Donaldson shows 5 for 5 with no extra base...

The CATCHER applies the tag at 3B.
