CatoBase 6.1.4 Update

Not many bug fixes this time, but a lot of new features! If any new bugs have found their way, please let me know.

This should include most everything everyone has requested. The only things not in there are the ability to list more than one manager for a team or to put a manager into the Hall of Fame. Hopefully, those will be available next time.

You can check out the JOBL History for an example of the new stuff. (BTW, my team, Savannah, won my first ever OOTP championship!)

Changes:

Fixed incorrect link to manager's page on the team index page.
Fixed error an team batting register pages. OBP, SLG, and OPS for players were being calculated incorrectly.
Can now process leagues that start in the year 1000 or later.
Added most-played for team to player line on HOF page
Added Progressive leaderboards to Leadeboard section. Progressive leaderbaords show a snapshot of the career, single-season, active, and yearly leaders at the end of each season.
Added seasonal and career batting and fielding leaders by position to Leaderboard section
Added seasonal and career Salary leaders to Leaderboard pages
Added Championships Won to leaderboard pages
Added Championships Won to top of player pages
Added Post Season MVP Award. Stats shown with player are his post season stats. OOTP doesn't break it up by series, so the MVP award is for the entire post season, not just the World Series.
Added new page to Team section called Park History. For each year, it shows a team's record, finish, manager, stadium name, home attendance and rank, road attendance and rank, park run factor, and park homerun factor.
Added new page to League section called Win Shares. For each year and league, it lists all players' batting, fielding, pitching, and total Win Shares, sorted by total Win Shares.
Added stintID field to Batting, Pitching, and Fielding tables. The first time you open your database with this version, it will examine all the transactions in the database and update this field accordingly.
Changed the order of stat lines for players who played for multiple teams. It will now be in the order of the teams he played for, instead of alphabetically by team.

Sweet! That's a nice improvement! Now, if the same thing were available for win shares, that would be very cool, although that might be complicated considering all the different positions.

Might as well get rid of this in the first page: other than post-1000 processing, will all these changes be implemented only by generating the HTML pages, or do old leagues need to re-process their files?

Words cannot express how fantastic this utility is becoming. Great work!

Now for the next version can you put in the feature to have a duplicate of me go to work for me, so I can marvel at my catobases

Okay, I have a nit to pick.

On the player pages, when listing championships won, Catobase adds an "s" to the end of the championship name.

Which do you think is a better compromise:

"World Championships Won" and "World Seriess Won"
or
"World Championship Won" and "World Series Won"

'Nuff said.

Thanks for the great work Jeff, but I have a nit to pick.

Why are you so quick with your updates? Just when I think I have everything up to date, you release another version and I have to re-do all my Catobases because I have to have the new features.

Seriously, thanks for your work. Catobase is by far the best OOTP add-on in a sea of great OOTP add-ons.

Awesome work once again Jeff. Of course, I just created and updated all of my league's pages this week. Oh well, just gives me another excuse to run it again. You'll be expecting a small little surprise in your Paypal account for this one.

This time I'll have to actually remember to download the update, before running Catobase and saying that all of those new features aren't showing up.

Just ran the update and this is the best one yet. The positional leaderboards are great and so are the progressive boards. The championships one is also great. I love being able to see those journeymen who seem to always wind up on championship teams. Great update.

Thanks Jeff! With some help from Pierre to change the years in the .dat files, I was able to run CB for the KBL for the first time a couple weeks ago. It will be a lot easier now though. Not to mention the players won't all be 1000+ years old anymore.

Where OOTP lacks in Fielding...CatoBase has done it!

Love the career defensive leaderboards...maybe now I can see if Maranville, or McBride should get in based on defense or if Pie Traynor truly is the best 3b ever...lol

Jeff, is truly, the greatest thing to happen to OOTP since I have been here!
