Need help from a Commish on Official League Server

The United States Baseball Association is getting set to begin its 10th season of play.
We have completed the move to the new Official League Server from the old one. The problem is that I can not get the league html pages to show up on the league site under the OOTP Report pages.

Under which sub-directory to I upload the zipped league report in the new server?

I am also having problems with Coranto News since the switch. If anyone has expertise in this area, drop me a line please

I emailed my question to Andreas but his autoreply indicates he is on vacation trhough July 26.

I appreciate any help!

Someone help LL quick, USBA rocks too much for it to be messed up.

I'll be expecting my $10 within a week LL.

I take it your problem has been solved? Or are those not the files you are talking about?

I just put mine in a folder "reports" (I'm sure you can name this whatever you like though), then zip them to a file "_kbl.zip" then upload that to the httpdocs folder and within 15 minutes the zip is extracted to the httpdocs/reports folder.

As for Coranto, no idea.

I noticed your new address is usba.ootp-online.com and ours is kbl-ootp-online.com, a "-" instead of a ".". Maybe that might lead to something.

Thanks for the advice. The html you are seeing is from last season when the USBA was still on the old server. I have been zipping them up as "_usba.zip" and uploading them to the httpdocs folder. I never tried uploading them to a folder within the httpdocs folder. I will try that. Thanks!

Just to be clear, I first put the files in a folder, then zip that folder, then upload the zip to the httpdocs folder. I don't upload the zip to a folder inside the httpdocs folder.

And I've been able to have files extracted without first putting them into a folder, so I don't think you have to put them in a folder before you zip them.

Were you able to use the zip method before the move? Because what might be the problem is Andreas's script to extract zips might only work for leagues with 3 character abbreviations, not 4. If that was the problem you would think it would have come up before and the script changed to accept 4.

EDIT: You can probably just upload them without using the zip until Andreas gets back too.

Use the FTP username and FTP password for that info. Remember also that it's case sensitive.

Darn, I am back to square one then it looks like.
I am using the exact same procedure as before the server switch ("_usba.zip" worked before). I also tried the manual way of uploading the files using the Online League options menu in the game with no luck.

This has to be something very simple. It's aggravating!!

I can receive ftp exports but I can not upload html files! Argh!!

1. You can always upload the html reports via ftp, I do that now!

2. The reason that I do that is exactly because I have the same problem. On the old league server, I zipped all files to a file name "_xxx.zip", with xxx being your three letter code that came in front of "ootp-leagues.com".

I am doing the same now, and upload it into the root of my folder: httpdocs....but it doesn't unzip

Maybe Andreas can have a look at that, I am just wondering why some succeed, I might be just stupid!

It's the same procedure for both kind of domain names (xxx-ootp-online.com and xxx.ootp-online.com). It's important that you use lower caps: _xxx.zip instead of _XXX.zip.

The file has to be put into the httpdocs folder.

Please send me an email if it still doesn't work.

The KBL is having a problem with the zip unzipping now too. It worked before today. Any other ideas what the problem might be?
