Euro 2004
http://www.euro2004.com/
Does no one here care? I have not seen as much of it as I would like, but I have seen some highlights. I normally root for the Dutch, but I'm kind of liking the home team, Portugal, this year as well. France and Sweden are also exciting. Anyone have any favourites? EDIT: Doh! http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=67096 I swear I used the search feature, but nothing came up.

I'd probably watch it if Direct TV didn't want $300 for it. They're out of their minds if they think I'll pay that much for a sport that I rarely watch !

I supported France, the Swiss and Croatia. Now I support Portugal As a Scotsman, I have no favourites, only an enemy ![]() I really like the Czech Republic - great players, play at a good tempo, all players crisp, clean strikers of the ball. The Dutch have been committing a lot of petty fouls, but the Danes and the Swedes have looked pretty tasty (great game tonight).

$20 a pop on pay per view is out of control. It's bad enough that I paid for the FA cup final but not per game for a whole competition.
Having said that, I was rooting for the Italians but since they have ceased to be, I will now root for the swedes. As much as i want to root for England, I know they're going to let me down yet again. |

As someone who speaks English, I'm cheering for England.
Rooney is certainly having his "coming out" party .. 4 goals in the last two games! Some are comparing his performance to what Pele did in the '58 World Cup as a 17 year old for Brazil.A team like Italy is out but Greece remains to play another day (probably only one more game since it's against France!). Nice to see some surprises in the tourney. Germany or Holland will be done after tomorrow, so lots more fans will be disappointed by their team's poor showing. My grandfather was Scottish so I would have liked to have seen them in Euro. Winning the first playoff game 1-0 against Holland only to get blown away 6-0 in the second .. ouch. I wonder if they're over that yet!
