40 man/playoff question

I had my sept call-ups and then I made the playoffs, to get back to my 25 man roster, is there a way to move people off the active roster and not get a "he refuses assignment" response? I mean the season is over, you shouldn't have to waive or release players who you don't want on the playoff roster.

You shouldn't have to do this, but...

go to the league setup screen, financial setup, then disable option years, move the players, then re-enable option years.

Thanks for your help. Is any one else seeing this as a problem/nuisance?
