Will Robbie (in real life) make the cut? And will he go in as a Blue Jay?

I would think he's the best shot the club has at getting its first HoF player.

Why is this even a question? Hes a 1st ballot HOF Lock. My guess is he will be inducted as a Blue Jay

I think he should go in, but why the big fuss about Biggio not being worthy, if Alomar is, when they're essentially the same player offensively, and Alomar and Biggio's gloves were comparable ?

How is one a sure fire first balloter, while the second is a good player, but not HOF caliber?

Biggio didn't/doesn't have the glove that ALomar has. By far. Not to mention Alomar was/is flashy, Kind of like a 2b Ozzie Smith. Also Alomar is one of the smartest baseball players in the league. He could be the smartest (talking about baseball smarts)However Biggio did play some catcher, so i'd say let them both go in.

What numbers make him a lock? I'm not doubting anyone, I just don't know what makes him a 1st-round no-doubter. Over 2500 hits? Almost 1500 runs scored (over 1500 when he retires)? 1000 BB's? .301 BA? On base and slugging aren't amazing. Or does it have nothing to do with numbers? Length of productive career? Defense?

Educate me about this.

Nearly 2700 hits, a .301 BA with a .372 OBP, 474 stolen bases, 206 homeruns, ten time Gold Glove second baseman with excellent range, five time top ten MVP candidate.

His most similar batters according to baseball-reference.com? Craig Biggio, Lou Whitaker, Frankie Frisch (HoFer), Ryne Sandberg, Barry Larkin, Charlie Gehringer (HoFer), Joe Morgan (HoFer), Alan Trammell, George Davis (HoFer), Buddy Bell.

All of them were pretty good players, and most are HoF or borderline HoF. For his age he's most similar to Robin Yount.

The man was a premier offensive and defensive second baseman for most of his career. He was a pretty good postseason performer as well as he hit .313 hitter with a .381 OBP in his career.

I think that Alomar is a no brainer also for the hall, even if he retired today!,

at the same time thou, Ryne Sandburg is also a no-brianer, one of the best 2b of all-time, with the glove too.
