Arena league
I remember my favorite dynasty poster darkcloud make a thread one time about Arena baseball. To this day, I'm still intrigued by the idea.
My question is to the graphic designers; would anyone be interested in providing me with stadium graphics of fictional dome stadiums? |

hehehe...
http://www.worldstadiums.com/ http://www.ballparks.com/ The dimensions to the most of the parks are on those sites, with photos. For my Arena Baseball Dynasty - which rocked, BTW and got tons of hits - I just used one of those spreadsheets that averaged out the numbers. But, instead of trying to make lots of fields, I simply had them play at one place called "The Arena" since you would figure that the arenas would basically be the same. I wasn't thinking "domed baseball" tho, it was actually "Arena" like arena football. So yeah..... Last edited by darkcloud4579; 02-26-2004 at 10:08 PM. |

The thing about park factors, like I said before is this. You really can't make them like they'd "Really" be. So, you just guestimate that the indoor arena would be something along the lines of:
LF/RF: 175 CF: 200 and then use one of those park factor spreadsheets to calculate the ratings. The numbers will be well over 300, which is problemactic IMHO, because OOTP resets the numbers back to 0 after they get past 200 and something. So, I had to play with the numbers to get them down to the point where they wouldn't reset. Not that difficult, but yeah. I'll do this, but I'm still trying to finish the Moneyball dynasty before starting a new project (about 5 1/2 years left) and then I'm also working on an International/Olympic roster set.
