The beginning of the Yankees' end has begun. Red Sox take the division, Yankees the Wild Card, and the Yankees resume their late 80s/early 90s ways.

I went with Boston, too. We'll see if A-Rod really does go to the Yanks, in which case their chances go up, but Boston is really looking good.

Please oh please oh please. I have the Sox taking it too. I think they just had a remarkable offseason and the Yankees, while they made some decent aquisitions did nothing to the tune of the Sox.

I think the Yankees improved this offseason, and while the Red Sox did improve their pitching, I'm not banking on guys like Bill Mueller and David Ortiz having career years again. Yankees will win the division by at least 3 games. Red Sox will win the WC and be a force in the playoffs with Pedro/Schilling.

I think the Red Sox and Yankees will crash for some reason

I'll wait until we see what's going on with A-Rod There is no way I could ever pick the Red Sox to win anything .. even a free Coke from Burger King .. so if the Yanks don't get A-Rod, I'll pick the Blue Jays

Too close to call. Even with the ARod deal the Yankees have some flaws (especially defensively). The Red Sox improved mightily off a club that should have won the division last season. Picked the Red Sox, but it could go either way.

Yankees and wild card will not be in the same sentence. Wild Card will come out of the west, either Seattle or Anaheim, whichever doesnt win the division.

Red Sox. I'm hoping for a Cubs-Red Sox World Series. If the Cubs are ever going to win a World Series, it will have to be against the Red Sox. And vice versa.

I think Red Sox fans thinking this is their year has replaced the appearance of the first robin as the annual sign that spring has arrived.

This won't be their year either. Yanks by 4-5 games.

Sox by 4-5 games. Schilling will win Cy. Manny will go back to his 50 HR 150 RBI Pedro with 20-5 250K 2.10 ERA Foulke with 60 SV

Hehe...some wishful thinking

I think it will be closer then 4-5 games, i bet it will come down to thge last 2 or 3 games of the year to see who will win the divison
