HHBC has some openings

The HHBC is a fictional, no finances league that has been running for 17 seasons now. We are currently entering the last month of our 120 game schedule... sims on M-W-F, 10 days a sim.

There are currently 4 open teams:
Greenville, Duluth, Charleston and Durham

If you are looking for a league that never misses a sim, runs at quick pace and has some great history - this is the league for you.

Our Website is Here

We will be approaching our 1935/1936 off-season, so now's a good time to get in!

By the way, this is the league that amalgamated the Hometown and Heritage leagues that Cooley originally created. A lot of history in these leagues after 17 seasons.

Yes, and since the amalgamation(is that a word?!), the "Hometown League" has owned the "Heritage League" , winning all the HHBC titles from 1930-1934!

As an original Heritage Baseball League team owner (Tulsa Chiefs), I really enjoy looking back at the history the league has to offer.

Maybe it should be mentioned too that the league is very competitive.

Also the draft is spiced up to include some outstanding players, players that can make an impact the year they are drafted.

Last year's draft (1935) featured a number of players that are impacting the league leaders, including...

1st pick Paul Hewson - 1935 All-Star (current year of the league)
3rd pick William Harp - Another 1935 All-Star
5th pick Elijah Petry

For your reference Here is the 1935 draft log.

So it doesn't take too long to turn a franchise into a winning team.

It's a shame no one is taking those available teams. It looks like a good league. They need to fill up so I can stop being tempted to join.

Same here.

And it looks like the owners pages need updating. I believe devaneyfan left awhile ago.

I just joined the league and have to say it has been very fun, some really great owners. It is a very offensive league, so exciting baseball is always being simmed

Also the league has a lot of history, and a lot of career records to aim for that are legitimate.

I just told you in IM, but if anyone else is curious..

A friend just told me of powderfinger's new CD. They used to be my fav band. Anyways, I downloaded it and loved it, so I thought I'd let others know about it.

I'll probably bring back Yoda in the future.
