SimLeagues.com is screwed up AGAIN!

Anyone else out there use simleagues.com as a webhoster? I run http://classicmlb.simleagues.com/ and the site is not working.

I talked to the guy who runs SimLeagues.com and he said that he switched servers and so it appears something must have gone wrong with that. Of course I had not heard anything about this switch over until my site got messed up. You would think that information like that might get passed out ahead of time so people could be prepared if there is a problem.

The whole situation is a joke.

Is this the one that Jway and Total Nirvana were pimping in their sigs and in numerous posts?

I noticed both of them have been scarce here lately and have removed the advertisement from their signatures.

I believe so. And scarce is an excellent word to use when describing customer service at SimLeagues.com!! I was trying to talk to the "owner" about the problem online over AIM and he just turned his AIM off and left. He also is not returning emails. Clearly it is time to find a new provider!

sttfrk and TotalNirvana both had the ad in their sigs. Reason enough to steer a wide berth.

You folks should check out http://www.400softwarestudios.com/bo...threadid=39530 and talk to Joe. I've had nothing but a good experience with his hosting service.

I run cibl.simleagues.com and will have a domain name purchased before the night is over and will be signing up elsewhere. No emails warning us or nothing, I've got some space to make my site work partially as a temp fix, but I'm one pissed SOB, and as far as I'm concerned they can take that service and shove it where the sun don't shine.

They said they are switching servers, and that seems legitimate. They’re not the first ones to have some problems.

It is best to email your customers and tell them what’s up.

Not sending an email to the customers is completely unacceptable in my book. We can prepare for these types of things but when it suddenly just happens and you don't even get responses to email asking what is happening, that sucks.

Do these people have some type of ownership in these companies? Were they getting payment for advertising these hosts in their sigs? Or were they just customers that wanted to throw their provider some more business?

I believe CommishJoe owns the host he advertises. What about Cooley? I think it would be nice if people also advertised their association with these companies that they advertise.

You are correct sir. I do own All in 1 and have a personal stake in either making it or breaking it. So far, it's going well. Not 1 customer has quit after signing up, and haven't gotten any complaints about the service nor the support. The one time we did have an issue (hard drive failed), I re-imbursed everyone, even Central Server customers, their monthly fee due to the downtime. We have a 99.5% uptime guaratnee, and we back it up. If we don't earn our money, we give it back. Also, no one lost any data due to that hard drive failure. Our support staff is top notch, and monitors the servers 24 hours a day.

I am very sorry to hear that simleagues.com is having issues. I truly thought JWay had a quality company going. However, communication is key. If not e-mail, then you need to let people know over chat, or any other means possible about why you are down and an ETA on how long the issue should take to get fixed.

With the official server being un-limited now, and between Cooley's service and mine, hopefully OOTP customers have enough quality choices to host their leagues to make up for this issue.

Well, I have used Joe's hosting service for several months now, and I am VERY pleased with the service. Joe has gone above and beyond what any other hosting service has provided me in the past, and this includes several big name hosting companies. I would be more than happy to share my experiences with anyone who asks.

Don't pimps usually get something a bit more "tangible" than thanks?
