Free Agent Auction 2.0.0

Back by popular demand (two people, exactly!), 13 years later, we're rolling again with Free Agent Auction 2. This app is for leagues that simply want to do away with OOTP's built-in free-will system, where free agents consider other factors such as expected role, market size, etc, etc. Free Agent Auction makes signing free agents 100% about "Show me the money!". Basically, depending on how your commish sets things up, you'll have a specific number of bids, and your in-game budget constraints, in which to make your case to the free agent players. Highest bid at the end of the free agent period (decided by your commish) wins.

This app is still in development but when it's ready I'll let you know.

Requirements:

* PHP 8.3.4
* MySQL database
* FTP access or a cPanel File Manager

3 minute installation: navigate to the "install" folder and follow the instructions and fill in the info required.

If you're just now hearing of faAuction, I suggest reading the old thread for the 1.x version, where feedback was instrumental in shaping how the first iteration of the app eventually ended up and the place at which v2.0 starts.

Now on v2.0.8 with the following changes...

Added Commish Codes to prevent unauthorized registrations. Commissioners can now generate 24-hour codes that members must provide to register.
Fixed issued with the updater. If by any chance someone has already installed 2.0.6, the updater will still work but you'll have to navigate to admin/update.php and click "Check for Updates". Once on 2.0.8, the dashboard will automatically detect when an update is available and you can auto-update with a few clicks. No need to create a backup. The updater makes a backup for you before downloading and installing the update package.
