Has anyone ever tried to re-create the preferences and strategy choices for the different managers... I want to replay the 1921 season... it would be "neat" to have the actual computer managers like McGraw, Huggins, Kid Gleason, Connie Mack, Pat Moran, Bill Donovan, assigned to their appropriate teams.

I vaguely remember seeing a mod for this but for the life of me can't track it down. Not sure which managers it covered but it was quite comprehensive.

Do you have a strategy_profiles subfolder in your data folder? I do, but I may have copied it from an earlier version of the game. It contains dozens of manager profiles.

We need a way to tie a manager's strategy to the manager in the game. If Billy Martin is fired from a team and picked up by another, his style of managing should follow him along with his managerial stats.

Actually a great idea to have custom manager profiles. The only game I ever seen do that well was Earl Weaver Baseball 2 from the early 90s. Had custom manager profiles. That would add some additional realism for sure.

Can I get an "AMEN"?

Does anyone else agree? We have the strategy files for the famous and fictional managers, so is there a wat to tie them to a manager, or keep one that we have generated. Having a more detail history similar to the players' would be interesting as well.

AMEN. As a huge fan of the dead ball era and the "inside game" The whole concept of "playing for one run" is not replicated from what I can see. What seems to be happening is that power is nerfed to give you that statistical illusion of the era. Which I understand, this isn't a knock on OOTP, it is designed to mimic the modern game and I am trying to make it do something it isn't really meant to do. the idea of manually changing managerial preferences is a simplistic but brilliant idea. Can't believe I never considered something that has been staring me right in the face the whole time. Really glad I clicked on this thread.
