Logo Request

I need a logo for my team in a new 1897 league that is starting up. The team is the Montréal Insulaires (Insulaires means Islanders in French).

If someone wants to come up with something that uses the outline of Montreal Island, this is what it looks like:

I was going to use the below logo (I like the colors for Montreal), but someone already came up with a logo that uses a very similar, if not same, font.

I'm open to whatever you guys come up with, but maybe the above will give you some ideas to start with. Thanks in advance.

I've actually taken a few stabs at this one, but I haven't gotten anything I like. Montreal is a hard theme to work with. You think of New York and there's the Yankees....think of St. Louis and there's the Cardinals, think of Monteal and there's.....Canadian people I guess. French Canadian. And what's an Expo anyway? I had no idea there were islands in Canada. I guess I'll keep trying though.

Well Montreal now is famous for their nightlife. Back then, I'm not sure.

Yup, it's for the devaneyfan's new Continental Association. I wasn't saying the name earlier because I was under the impression he still wanted to keep it somewhat under wraps. But seeing as the owners are now set, I guess it's ok to talk about it now. With Jeff running the league and such a strong group of owners, I expect it'll be a great league. Very much looking forward to it.
