As a player who plays in the BBF minor leagues, I was so excited hoping that finally the leagues would be up to date but after waiting all of last season the rosters are still the same from 2024 and only include the NBL.
Are there any plans to update them to the current ones or to at least include the minor leagues? We were told at the beginning of last season that would be the case but it hasn't happened yet. I now the data is all there as we all have a check box to allow ootp to access our data and stats when we register for the new season.

Posts 26 & 30 for some encouraging news. Just will take a bit of time after the release craziness is past was how I read it.

Eager to experience the new development lab features, I pulled up the new "2024 Off-Season Start" mode. Unfortunately, because it opens on Nov 20, there isn't enough time to run the interesting development programs. This seems like a critical oversight.

I propose patching to either reduce the length of those programs so they fit within the confines of this game mode or starting the 2024 offseason at an earlier date that accommodates the dev cycle.

fwiw, this was also a problem in 25. I once forgot to set my dev lab participants on the first possible day, and the second day was already too late. Nobody wants to train 24 players how to run and bunt.

And while I'm here, I'll bring back an old request of mine...why do new start files not include Spring Training? We should have 3 2025 start options: Beginning of Spring Training, Opening Day, or the Live Start.

Also, I know you don't have Nippon licensing, but it would be nice if you snuck Roki Sasaki into the 2024 Off-Season Start. Anyone who uses that mode is committing to a universe bereft of Sasaki!

We'll update the NBL for 2025 in a patch very soon!

For the lower leagues, this is difficult, because it is very time consuming with so many teams and players to create and rate from scratch and we have a very small team to work on them (really just me, and I have at least a million other tasks).

We had someone from the league who was a volunteer to help us last year, but sadly life got in the way for him and he wasn't able to contribute so much.

We have already had one offer of help from a player in the league for this year, and we'll link up with him soon. If there are any other folks who can help with stuff like data entry, spreadsheet import setup or working in our editor to set things up, then if they can reach out, then we can set them up and we can work to get stuff in-game a lot quicker.

I'm also planning to reach out to the league soon as well and see if they can provide any more help. We just need to get through launch first and clear some other things out of the way so I can have the time free to work with anyone who is willing to help.

I have a fictional league that I imported in from 25. At the time of switching versions, I was at the start of Free Agency during the offseason. I have found that, multiple times, I have had Free Agent offers out to Free Agents, and in the pending offers screen, I'm seeing that the offers are pending, but then those players are signing elsewhere without ever giving a response to my offer.

This is a promotion relegation league, and I run a custom international tournament every other offseason, and that happens to be taking place at this time, so I'm not sure if that could be having an effect. I have never had this issue in this save file, which has now been brought up from 24 to 25 to 26.

Is this is known issue, or is there something that changed about FA offers that I missed in the changelist?

I would not recommend migrating between versions in the middle of major AI processes like free agent negotiations.

It is just unpredictable what will happen as the AI is changing from version to version.

Best time to do it is right at the end of a season before progressing to the offseason.

This is many 4th version, and my 3rd migration of my game. All went well and I am very happy with the new features!

I need to look more closely at Scouting ratings for Tools versus Ability as at first look it appears Ability scouts ratings are noticeably lower than OOTP25.

BUT......thanks for a new version each year!!!
Very Happy!

I always migrate my saves during "Until Playoffs End" that's the perfect time to do it and should be addressed as a sticky of when to do so. Otherwise I am in love with this version, thank you for all of the work you guys do. Especially suffering from a major depression lately this game has really helped.

-Excitedly start new game after download as Seattle Mariners GM
-Notice 3rd base coach is Vacant
-Find Kristopher Negron unemployed in the Personnel tab
-Says he does not want to work for Seattle (but would take a minor league manager job)

Seems fun. Not encountering many problems or stability issues. I wish there was more direct or evident feedback after the draft combine, though.

Another minor issue that probably isn't technically a bug but also shouldn't be how the functions behave (so, filed under "feedback" rather than "bug")

If you join a team on the first day of the offseason after the AI has made various contract offers, the "withdraw" button in the arbitration menu does not actually withdraw the offer. Near as I can tell, the player has to be cut before he says yes. I'll report back if I find a less extreme solution without using the editor. Ideally, I'd have the ability to withdraw an offer and continue (fruitlessly) shopping the player until the arbitration deadline.

For clarity, I simmed the 2025 season as a free agent, accepted a job with the Diamondbacks on 11/1/25, withdrew offers to Kyle Nelson, Pavin Smith, and Jose Castillo. The arb screen showed them as a $0 Team Offer and flashed the standard warning that they would become free agents. A few days later, they agreed to phantom contracts.

I force quit so I can try it again on Monday.

1 ratings

Standard MLB Start.
I'm seeing a ton of minor league players with ratings of 1 in multiple categories. That's on 1-100 scale 100% scout accuracy.

Also, Wander Franco is missing and Trevor Bauer is listed as retired.

Stamina seems to be super low across the board for SP's.

I figured Franco missing was deliberate since he probably will never play another MLB game

True, but he did play, so he should at least show as retired like the other 2 retired Wander Franco's in the game who are still playing age but are unlikely to ever play again. Dustan Mohr and Austin Maddox are in there. Julio Machado and Ugueth Urbina in there too, so I don't feel like its any kind of statement on OOTP's part.

I really love this game and spend way too many hours on it. But the last couple of versions it feels like it enters an arcade mode the last couple of innings. It feels like offensive sliders get pushed up to make games "more exciting". Occasionally teams make big comebacks in late innings in reality, but it feels like this is happening a couple times a week, just in the games my team plays. Either my team or the opponent has big rallies against what are generally the best pitchers on the planet who are called on to finish games. This isn't a small sample size problem. I've played out hundreds of games over the last year or so.

The game I just finished prompted this post as the team leading 11-2 going into the bottom of the 8th, lost 13-11. Again, this kind of thing happens maybe once every year or two. But it's happening way too regularly in the last couple versions of OOTP.

Can you post a few specific examples of these in the roster issues thread here:

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=360979

I think one of our imports rounded down in a few cases and gave players that should have had low ratings '1's. Been trying to clean these up and thought I got most all of them already, but would just like to see examples if this is the same thing or not. Thanks!
