Hey all,

We want to constantly improve the real roster set, so please post issues you run across here once the game is released.

Please do not post issues with players being on wrong rosters, minor league levels, on or not on the 40-man rosters, lineups, pitching staff spots. The AI sets these up and there is nothing we can do to force player X to be used in a certain predefined way. Also, do not post stuff like "Freeman just hit .250 in my sim, this cannot be right." or "Why has X better ratings than Y?".

Please, please before you make any comments in this thread that touch on ratings or rankings, turn off scouting. If you're commenting when you still have scouting on, it's inaccurate, confusing and a waste of both our time and your own.

Please do post here:
- Errors in contracts
- Issues with players being in the wrong organization
- Vastly wrong player ratings (disable scouting first so you see the real ratings), for example a Double-A scrub having allstar-calibre ratings


With a release before the season has even started there some things are still a work in progress and not yet completed.
-Schedules are not yet correct for US minor leagues, Indy Leagues, the BBL. We received the data for this really late and in a different format than usual. We'll continue working on getting these updated over the next little while
- Updated coaching staffs in some leagues. MLB, MiLB AAA-A and KBO should be correct.
- MiLB prospect ratings and placements on the lists are still very much a WIP especially those toward the 15-50 range on their team lists
- There's a bug that has draft eligible players showing with old schools. We will fix this up for an early patch.
-We've reduced the amount of pre-created players in the draft, in part to prevent the issues from previous years where too many unselected players would go into next year's draft and create a very poor talent pool. We'll add
more players back in here over time, and continue to work on adjusting ratings as well up to and beyond the draft.
- Most of the lesser known recently signed IAFA's have not yet been added to the db or if added may not have ratings
- We've done a deep dive at updating things like positions, pitcher repertoires, service time, options and more for affiliated players who played in A+ or higher last year. We've not yet fully done this for players who played at
the A level or below last year yet though. Some of these may be updated, others may not. We'll continue to work on this for the players at the lower levels.
- Also, please be aware that some Korean players have been randomized. This is due to legal requirements in Korea. Foreign players in the KBO have also been randomized due to rights issues.
-Some WBC players are missing, either due to rights issues or because we're still in the process of creating them
- Updated teams/rosters for the Indy Leagues who have not yet set their full rosters
- The British NBL is not yet updated for 2025

Congrats on a great launch, and hope you're feeling better.

In case it's helpful — and not a complaint, but genuinely just in case it's helpful — here's a list of Red Sox players who are missing from the org when I launch a new game. Some of these guys are listed as free agents (the AI isn't releasing them — they're not originating in the org on launch); some are DSL guys who might not be in the database. But all of them should be in the Boston org. I realize this may be an issue with your external database provider rather than an OOTP issue — if so, then sorry to raise it! Thanks as always for the excellent work you and the team put into the game.

All the guys (at least all I randomly checked) you list there are indeed with the Red Sox in the db, so I really don't know why they would not load with Boston in the game itself. If they're not there, it must be a bug of some sort.

How are you launching a new game here, just through the new standard game prompt?

EDIT: Ok, I did that myself and I see they're not in the Red Sox's org. This is very weird, we will have to investigate further.

a heads up......MLB Schedule is wrong....Mets open at HOU, not at ATH......it seems the AL West teams are all wrong.....at least it's the case in my first test game and a 2nd test run I loaded

Kyle Teel was traded for Garret Crochet but Teel is still on Sox roster and Crochet is still on Whitesox.

These are correct both in the db and in the game (so not part of the problem discussed above). So not sure what you're seeing here.

You may've chosen the offseason roster which starts in November. What game mode are you going to where you see this? How exactly did you create the game and what options did you choose?

ARI Kendall Graveman - listed in game with a 12.5M salary in 25 and 50M option for 26. This should be 1.25M and 5M.

ATL Aaron Bummer - 26 team option for 9.5M should be guaranteed.

NYM AJ Minter - 26 guaranteed contract for 11M should be a player option.

NYM Drew Smith - should have a 26 club option for 2M. Not showing anything beyond 25.

PHI Matt Strahm - should have a 26 club option for 4.5M. Not showing anything beyond 25.

PHI Jesus Luzardo - salary for 25 should be 6.225M. Currently showing 6.625 in game.

PHI Cristopher Sanchez - salaries for 25-28 should be 2M, 3.5M, 6.5M, 9.5M - currently showing it as 1.75M, 3.25M, 6.25M, 9.25M. Also, Sanchez should have a second team option year on end of contract in 2030 for 15M.

WSH Josiah Gray - should have a salary of 1.35M for 25. Currently showing MLB min salary of 720K.

BAL Tyler O'Neill - should have 3 years @ 16.5M each with an opt out after year 2.

TB Ha Seong Kim - 26 team option should be a player option.

BOS Lucas Giolito - don't believe he should have an opt out or team option? Just fully guaranteed.

BOS Patrick Sandoval - should have 5.5M salary in 25 and 12.75M salary in 26.

BOS Garrett Whitlock - salary in 25 and 26 should be 5.5M and 7.5M. Currently showing 5.25 and 7.25M

TOR Chad Green - salary should be 10.5M. Currently showing as 1.05M

TOR Yimi Garcia - 26 salary should be guaranteed. Showing as team option currently in game.

TOR Ryan Yarbrough - should be on MiLB contract. Currently showing salary of 3.9M

TOR Andres Gimenez - salary for 2030 team option should be 23M flat.

Arizona RP Andrew Saalfrank is listed as "Injured" with an 80 day suspension. Shouldn't he just be suspended in game using the suspension function? Not sure so wanted to mention it.

FA SS Brainer Bonaci is also "injured" 10 months with a suspension, instead of being suspended.

RP Harrison Cohen shows up in the FA list. As far as I know, he is still in the Yankees organization.

RP Ryder Ryan is in FA and as far I can find, he re-signed with PIT on a minor league deal in Feb.

RP Braxton Roxby is in FA but was traded from CIN to SF in the Taylor Rogers deal and I see no indication that he was released by SF.

C Pedro Severino is in FA and listed as suspended for 80 games. Severino was suspended 80 games back in 2022 with MIL, but served his suspension and came back and played in the same 2022 season. I'm not sure why he is listed as suspended for 80 games?

RP Tyler Zombro, listed as a FA with a head injury, announced his retirement in August of 2024.

SP Trevor Bauer is listed as 'Retired'. He is still active in baseball. This may be an intentional decision, so pardon me if it is.

SP Nolan DeVos is found in the FA pool, injured with TJ surgery. He did have TJ surgery in 2024, but as far as I can tell, he is still with the Houston Astros organization.

RP Luke Farrell, listed as injured in the FA pool, announced his retirement in September of 2024.

RF Aristides Aquino is listed as retired. He is still active in baseball, most recently with the Mexican League Champions.

SP Jay Groome is listed in FA with an "injury" of suspension 2-3 months. Should he be suspended in game using the suspension function?

RP Asa Lacey is found in FA with a TJ injury for 2 months. He is trying to work his way back and is still with the KC organization.

RP Holden Powell is in FA. He is still in the Washington Nationals organization from everything I can find.

RP Tanner Shears is in FA with a Torn UCL. He is still with the Milwaukee Brewers organization.

RP Reese Sharp is in FA with a Torn UCL. He is still with the Baltimore Orioles organization.

'RP' Dylan Shockley is found in the FA list. He is listed as a RP, despite primarily being a Catcher. He is also in the Atlanta Braves organization, most recently at Gwinnett after being purchased from Pittsburgh in December 2024. He should be listed as a primary C instead of a RP.

C Eli Wilson is in the FA list. He is with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.

2B Mike Jarvis is in the FA list. He is with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.

REDS PERSONNEL:

The Cincinnati Reds show VACANT at hitting coach. The hitting coach is Chris Valaika. He was hired in October 2024 and is in the Hitting Coach database.

The Daytona Tortugas show VACANT at pitching coach. The pitching coach is Jason Immekus. He was hired in January 2025. He is not currently in the game's coaches database.

The Cincinnati DSL Rojos Rookie League shows all VACANT positions.

The manager is Jose Montilla. He is in the manager database.
The pitching coach is Cesar Garcia. He is NOT in the coach database at all. He has been on the DSL pitching coach staff since December 2022.
The hitting coach is Luis Terrero. He is listed as the hitting coach for the Cincinnati DSL Reds.

Generally it works better to 'injure' real-life suspended players, as the OOTP suspension mechanics are a bit different than the real ones.

Players on wrong teams, especially fa's who should be with orgs, as alluded to above mostly is coming from an import bug we should hopefully have fixed up for tomorrow's build.

Players listed as retired may just be because they are in other leagues. This is just how the mechanism works.

DSL and Complex staffs are not announced yet for this year, so are not updated.

For the rest of the stuff you posted, will look through and update where needed.

Clay Holmes has a sinker/slider combo in his pitching repertoire in the game. According to FanGraphs, he also has a fastball, cutter, changeup, and curveball in his toolbag. Can these be added?

Ok, so the import bug should be fixed in the build coming shortly. Please do check and make sure it looks good.

For the Red Sox list you posted, not 100% of these will be in the game anyway. A bunch of the DSL guys are recent signings who we've added to the db but not yet rated/activated. They will likely come in an early patch, since most of the work on them is done. Jack Anderson was still in the Tigers org, fixed this but might not be in this build.
