Utterly confused about my FA budget

So it’s April 21 and I’m using a pioneer league team, I have $544,240 for FA signings, -2,700 is subtracted for pending contracts so I still have plenty to sign. Though when trying to sign a FA CF for $7,500 suddenly my money left for FA drops to $-6,440, I have zero clue why and it’s Incredibly frustrating

Appreciate any sort of insight into why this is

Last I checked there were some issues with the calculations (that will hopefully get fixed in a later version), but this spreadsheet might help you figure it out. First, select "File > Make a Copy" as I've protected it. The next thing you'll want to do is to check your settings in the game (Lg > Lg Settings > Financials > Team Owner Controls Budget?) as to whether you're using entire revenue available (ERA) or owner-controlled budget (OCB) and then enter your data into the appropriate sheet. The formulas in D22 and E23 should help you see how the "money for" numbers are being calculated.

EDIT: Also, I made it using OOTP25. I don't know if anything changed from OOTP24.
