Wow, what a batting order

The 1985 Yankees in my random debut are sending the following out on a daily basis
Lyman Bostock RF
George Springer CF
Stan Musial DH
Hank Greenberg 1B
Ron Cey 3B
Carl Yastrzemski LF
Buck Weaver SS

That's quite the murderers row, especially if Springer was healthy.

So far through the first month and a half of play the Yankees aren't running away with things. In fact, they're tied with Cleveland for first place in the AL East. Musial is having a rather blah year so far, but I have to figure he will kick it into gear soon.

So it's now 1987. The Yankees lost George Springer, but added Augie Galan. They also replace Matt Batts with Joe Torre. It's September 12th and the Yankees are 99-43, 28 games ahead of the 2nd place Cleveland Guardians. They've hit 230 home runs and scored 1042 runs. Their team batting average is .310. Carl Yastrzemski has 38 home runs and 137 RBI. Hank Greenberg has 45 home runs and 142 home runs. Stan Musial has 32 home runs and 128 RBI. Joe Torre has 23 home runs and 115 RBI. Lyman Bostock is hitting .332. Augie Galan .312. Yaz is hitting .352. Musial .327. Torre is hitting .356 and Buck Weaver .307.

Yankees are going to finish up the season with right around 1200 runs scored. At work, but I think they have 7 starters with over 100 RBI. Hank Greenberg has already set a new season home run record with 55 with one game remaining. Team batting average with a day left is .309.
