Awards History
Where can I see that a player won the Triple Crown and/or batting title? I see the news article, but I don't see any award noted on the player data with the other awards.

Triple Crowns might be in the player history. Any individual statistical title, you should see by looking at a player’s stat line and seeing which categories are in red or bolded.

Triple Crown winners are listed in your league history - Accomplishments Tab, 3rd option from the right.

At work, so I'm not completely sure, but I think triple crowns are listed on the achievement page/menu. The deal where no-hitters, 20 game winners, hitting streaks, milestones etc. are listed.

EDIT: I just found it on the player's History page. I still think it should be more prominently displayed. I would like to see a trophy near the image of the player, similar to MVP, Silver Slugger, etc. Last edited by Baby Ruth; 10-04-2024 at 09:37 AM. |

You need to go to History index to see it.

Wow, what a place to bury a major award.

I guess 'major award' is subjective. I consider it as important an annual award as the weekly awards that show up under the upper left Accomplishments, where it sums the number of time something has been won by the player. Not of all those have trophies, either; it mixes them. I actually would like an icon by the player's image denoting that he was a Triple Crown winner.

They're also extremely rare. Yeah, it's going to get put out into a fairly out-there spot because in many saves you'll never see one.

That's a valid point. Though, on the flip side, in two of the first three seasons of my new league I just played there was one awarded. Those deadball players are warriors.

Triple Crown from that era would have included Winning percentage instead of Strikeouts. It wasn't until Koufax in 63 that they started using the newer format.

It doesn't look like the game models that. Christy Mathewson won it for the St. Louis Browns in 1902, but that was because he had 24 W, 2.17 ERA, and 216 K. Unlike the real world, the Browns actually won the MLB championship in their inaugural season.

I'm hoping for a day where we can set what statistical categories make up the triple crown. |

To me, an award is something that is determined by voters, like Cy Young Award or MVP Award or Rookie of the Year, or Humanitarian award.
An accomplishments is something achieved through stats like 500 HRs or 3000 hits or 2000 strikeouts, or 250 wins, or perfect game, a 4 HR game, etc.. To me a triple crown is an accomplishment and not an “award”. But it’s your game and I think you can make it an award if you want, but I’m not sure about that.

Another option is to push data to a DB like MySQL and use one of the existing tools for leagues. I don’t know that StatCast has any special place for triple crowns but you could make one if you wanted…
