i5 processor

My laptop has the following processor

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz, 1800 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

But I still have sluggish video wise while playing the game, when i bought this it was on the lower bit of quality.

The thing is even this year while playing the game i'm finding that this is sluggish and sometimes i find that it lags so much that while a pitch is being made that it skips around here and there where i often dont see the ball being hit....so please tell me this. is there anything that can be done? is there a setting that i can change to fix this? being that the laptop id 5-6 years old would buying a usb video card fix my problem?

So please please help me what can i do after purchasing the game? what can be done? i have been buying this game for the last 4 years using this laptop and while i love the game but im about to ask for a refund even though i love this game or can you help me in any way,

What is your graphics processor, that's likely the source. I've got a cpu in my laptop that's roughly equivalent to yours but one generation older (i5-7300hq). In-game 3D runs great, as I have (arguably) the 2nd best graphics processor that was available at the time (nvidia 1060).

It's not ideal, that's for sure. You can see for yourself that it's not going to decently run any game less than 10 years at better than minimum settings. That said, it doesn't usually take a lot to run OOTP.

Have you tried setting your FPS to the minimum as pointed out here? Maybe instead of playing in 3D view just switch to the 2D view.

Go to file > settings > 3D and change the Preset to Very Low. If that doesn't help you're likely SOL for 3D, so 2D would be the only option.

That's the built-in graphics processor that comes with the CPU, meaning you don't have a stand-alone graphics processor in your machine. Most built-in graphics processors are generally pretty terrible when it comes to doing anything 3d-related.

Pretty sure that's the same graphics unit on my Intel as well. I tried it one time when I had some driver installation issues with the Nvidia, and it wasn't pretty.

As the others have mentioned, you'll have to try setting everything to very low settings first, and if that doesn't work you may have to settle for 2d gameplay.

Older Intel CPUs integrated graphics are barely enough to support a desktop experience, let alone gaming.

Notably, newer CPUs are getting there. Especially the APU-enabled ones from AMD can now game at low settings on big 3-D intensive titles.

An 8000-series Intel, though, is basically the graphics equivalent of death.

You should get a discrete GPU. Even a used Nvidia GT 610 would make a big difference over just using the CPU graphics from an old Intel without costing much on ebay. If you got something like a 1050ti, you'd have an excellent experience without having to rebuild the whole tower.

No it's not even close. When you buy a laptop you want to get one with a dedicated gpu. This means the screen powers itself, basically. Otherwise, the screen is powered by the laptop cpu and draws all processing power into trying to generate screen renderings, thus turning your laptop into a brick. You never want to buy a laptop that has the spec Intel Graphics.

There is not a high graphics requirement for ootp. OOTP GO plays in 3D even on phones.

These are the stated graphics requirements:

Graphics: OpenGL 3.1 or newer, min. 512 MB GPU memory
