Oh right! I just had one of these happen in my league and I even stuck it in a report ahead of the release. I forgot this was even a new thing / a return to a previous feature (because I think at one point, perhaps much earlier in OOTP history, this was a thing)!

I have a list of midseason cannings from OOTP 23—fairly certain it's that as it's the oldest version I have on this computer.
Regardless of exactly how long ago it was, I'm glad to see it again. Nothing like a midseason massacre to encourage the others.
