New rating bars on player page

Hey all,

Appreciate all the work the dev team does on OOTP 25 and looking forward to the new game!

My question is: Will it be mandatory to show all the new HR/BABIP rating bars on player pages? Personally I really enjoy not having all of these ratings so visible, and enjoy the fun/challenge of having to figure it out.

An option to keep the same bars as in OOTP 24 (STU/MVT/CTL for pitchers, CON/GAP/POW/EYE/K for batters) would be amazing if possible!

We'll have to see what the development team says, but, given that this is a pretty big and very visible change, and since there will inevitably be differences in whether people want to use it, I could see it being made optional.

It's similar to the choice to play with stats only, except that this only applies to the visibility of specific ratings and not all of them. We already have the option to turn off injury rating visibility, so it would seem pretty simple to add this to hundreds of other things you can customize in the game.

Simple perhaps, but that doesn't mean it isn't time consuming.

That said, I would like this to not be a displayed ability as well, and I'm always a fan of having things be optional.

While playing one pitch mode, I'd like to be able to see the infielders arm rating in the players pic like it's done for the outfielders.

I'd like the option to set what ratings show in the players pic per position

Where are you seeing the new screenshots?

Any and all new info should be in one thread here; nobody should have to go searching for some Youtube channel to find out info on the coming game.

Yeah, compare it something like this from way back in time when OOTP 11 was announced:

Now, with only 2 weeks away, you have to go to youtube to find any screenshots and there's been like no real gameplay shown has there? Seems odd to be so close to release and no real footage of the game in action.

Honestly, from shots i've seen, im gonna wait for a sale. 24, from what i've played was a stepdown from 23 (3d in-game real laggy for me) and the UI wasn't great. With 25 using the same UI, im in no rush to get it.

I've heard that there is an option to only show the "original 5" bars... thanks so much to the dev team for that!

This may be asking a lot, but would it be possible to have some ability to re-order the batting bars back to the same order (CON, GAP, POW, EYE, K) as in prior versions? I've been playing religiously since OOTP 16 and am so accustomed to interpreting the "original 5 order" for 7+ years.

Appreciate all the work the team does!

I believe that is to emphasize that BABIP and Avoid K are factors in the the overall Contact rating and that Power is now no longer.

That makes sense for those that choose to show babip on player pages, however for those of us that will hide babip rating it should prob be reordered to the old format

The layout is not easy on the user eye at all, in my opinion.

I'd recommend two options: 1) move back to the old 5-bar style or 2) make a pop up function when you hover over the contact value to show the new BABIP and Avoid K's numbers (preferred).

Visually your eye has to shift left and right and with the brain adjustment on the order of the bars changing, it leaves something to be desired.

I have not seen this option. I hate the indented ratings

Yes no idea why there is an indent from vids pics I seen it looks really bad.

The entire player profile really needs to be modernized or streamlined or overhauled. Looks like something out of the 16 bit era of games.
