Real or Neutralized Stats Greyed Out When Importing Players?
When I used to import historical players (like this) I could select if I wanted to use real or neutralized stats and now I can't, the option is greyed out. Any idea what I might be doing differently from before?

I think if you use the minor league DB, we don't support Neutralized stats with that.

Thanks.
I was selecting "historical_database.odb". I just double checked and selected it again to make sure. I don't remember what I used to select way back when, but I presumed it was the same.

Oh, this is interesting. That pull-down de-greys out if you select the "include players in minor league database" checkbox. That's not what happened in that OOTP21 video I linked, it's available from the start.
Given what you said above, I wonder if that is the opposite of what is intended, that the pull-down should grey out *when* you check that checkbox.

I realize that neutralizing stats is a challenge for historical minors, since there were so many minor league teams and ballparks. But if real stats are used, then players' performances are skewed because they're basically getting a double-benefit or double-disadvantage from playing in a ballpark that either helped or hurt hitters or pitchers. That positive or negative impact is already in their real life stats, but if ballpark factors then adjust their performance during a season, the effect is being doubled.
