Is there a way to create three or more leagues in one game

I was wondering if there is a way to have three or more leagues in one game save. For example a National, American, Federal and Continental.

The reason for this is I have built a 96 team league built with some of the best teams for each franchise and some of the greatest individual seasons.

I have them broken down into 12 team divisions with four divisions in two leagues.

I would rather have four leagues with two 12-team divisions with no interleague play. Then advance the top two teams in each division advancing to an eight-team playoff.

I desire this for scheduling purposes so each 12-team division can play closer to a`162 game schedule and at least 12 games against each division opponent.

You cannot have more than 2 subleagues in a save. Here is a possible work around.

First sub league

(4)12 team divisions

Second sub league

(4) 12 team divisions.

Then go over to the mods tab and you can find a schedule that will just have your teams play each other in division only. Ex: In your first sub league division 1 will only play the other 11 teams in their division. It will not play the other teams in the division(s) even if they are in the same sub league.

So at the end of your season you would have 8 division leaders, (4 from each sub league) but it would be done pretty close to the way you wanted it with 4 sub leagues. You make a custom playoff and those teams will face off and it would be the first time they ever played each other.

I have done something similar with a save that split the United States into 8 regions so I know the schedules are out there. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks I didn't know you could have just division scheduling that will work great.

About a quarter of the way through 95 indians, 54 Indians,30 Philly A's, 1960 pirates, 1980 Astros, 2001 Mariners, 88 dodgers, and 2016 cubs lead the divisions. 27 yankees one game back.

More than 2 subleagues is my #1 most wanted feature for future OOTP editions! My league currently is 4 subleagues with 15 teams each; but it's really just 2 30-team leagues in the game's eyes, so the awards, ASG, etc aren't as ideal, and more practically I have to manually arrange the playoff bracket to be true to the league's "true form".

There's some historical precedent for this - almost. The Pacific Coast League was given "Open" classification in 1952, which was widely seen as a last step before full major league status, which caused the NL to move teams west in a partial attempt to head off this eventuality. Then Branch Rickey attempted to start the Continental League in 1959 with eight cities - the New York CL team would have replaced the Giants and Dodgers and other cities were eager to join as well. This attempt was stopped by aggressive major league expansion starting in 1961.

Had either or both gone through, you would have had three or four major leagues...
