Facegen Not Staying On
Hi everyone. I posted the below question in the technical support forum, but no one wanted to take a swing at it, so I thought I would post it here. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Hello. I cannot keep Facegen turned on. I have downloaded the most current vesrsion (Version 24.1 Build 39) and gone to the Settings screen > 3D & Facegen and turned Facegen on. I have then quit the game since it says the change won't take place unless I quit and reload, but when I start the game again, Facegen is turned off again. Can you assist? |

Can you post a game screenshot of the Game Settings>Facegen settings?
Can you also clarify is it is all facegen or just game-invented facegens that are not coming up? That is, does Chris Sale have a facegen coming in? Does Masataka Yoshida (Red Sox new left fielder not yet under MLBPA license until Opening Day and so has an invented one until then) have a facegen? In Settings (not Game Settings, but File>Settings) did you go to troubleshooting and try to force a reinstaill and lastly is it a PC or Mac. Even if I can't help, I think this info could help others help.

A couple of things; when I first loaded the game, Facegen was active and I did a "Update/Generate All Player Pictures" command from the Facegen tab within game settings. Since then, it hasn't worked. Another thing is when the player is show in a list type format, they have a picture thumbnail, but when I open the player page, the picture is not there. I am including screenshots of Chris Sale to show what I am talking about. Please note that I have also noticed that when I go to the File>Settings>3D & FACEGEN page and toggle Facegen from "disabled" to "enabled", click okay, save the game, then restart, but when I restart, the Facegen is reset back to disabled. I hope all of this helps! |

Read all these first and see if it provides a path forward. Some are from older game versions but the "Facegen Not Initialized" on the last screenshot is what caught my eye...

Lansdowne, thank you for your help. One of those articles got me thinking and then I realized that I had turned off the 3D Features option at the top of the page and forgot that also turns off Facegen. I restored that command and all is good now. Thanks again! |

No prob! Glad it got solved. Also, in case the facegens coming in too big is an issue (because your screen looked crowded). See this thread:
https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...27#post4991327 Also, on facegen detail level at the bottom of your last shot, where it has facegen detail at "Medium", if you are on a PC try going to "High" detail. The facegens that I've redone look so, so, so much better in High Detail
