I'm not a native english speaker and I can't spend 1.5 listening to a youtube stream. Can we have a written deep dive of new features, please?

I agree about the videos (and podcasts).

A forum post by the developers about new features would have been great.

Maybe next year...?

I think they don't care anymore. Covid broke a lot of things it seems.

Man, you need to chill out quite a bit. The link that was provided was all the new features. How much more do you want? Fairly detailed on the link and then there was videos for it. I guess you could come here and act like a spoiled child though, I am sure that will help

I for one miss the old road to release format where they would have long in-depth posts discussing the new features and providing details. They were far more useful then the half a sentence non-descriptions and handful of unrelated screenshots that are in the announcement.

My understanding is they still do this in the twitch streams or whatever, but I would greatly prefer the information in text format where I can consume it at my pace. It is odd that OOTP has embraced the "pivot to video" approach that was huge like 8-10 years ago in media and was largely a failure.

I get mild amusement reading the AI posts.

I get no amusement that after 20 years i still can't sort team stats for all years or run reports on basic things like triple plays, inside park hr, pick off etc ad infinitum

Yes, apparently the most needed feature for ootp is action baseball cards.

Yes apparently you should take that thread 100% seriously (we should get that feature though). They probably don’t even have devs anymore!!! Because writing promo copy, that’s what devs do!!!

I agree, I hate how everything became streams. I want to read a 10 minute article on the train, not watch a 1.5 hour video! Especially when both provide basically the same amount of content, most game streams are not super content efficient.
