Pet Peeve - Isn't batting 5th "middle of the order"???
This still has not been corrected and I'm hoping it is fixed in v24. My catcher in v23 bats 5th and sent me a message saying he should be batting "in the middle of the order". 5th is literally the middle of the order. Please fix this bug. It's annoying. End rant.

I believe it is 3rd/4th that the player is requesting in this circumstance currently.

Batting in the 3 or 4 hole is considered "middle of the order"

Traditionally and in scouting circles, the middle of the order consists of the 3-4-5 hitters. Not sure if OOTP views it the same or not.

"Middle of the order" should be 3-4-5. If it's only 3-4, that really doesn't make sense.

Middle of the order is a baseball term, not a math problem.

It’s also in OOTP terms meant to mean “I am the most important hitter on your team and I demand to be put in the most important position”. 3rd is actually not as important as cleanup or even 2nd but that’s the perception, 3rd and 4th are where you put your best hitters, with the exact question of who bats where due more to relative power and contact than with relative overall ability.
5th is considered your 2nd best cleanup hitter. That’s still good but I think people can understand why a superstar might not want to be told he’s at best #2 on an 80 win team, right?

Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7, 8, 9. LOL!

Why isn't this just changed to "Heart of the Order" and encompass 3,4,5. No fuss, no muss.
