What other leagues will be pulled?
Obviously, OOTP got caught selling use of a league they had no legal right to use. Now the customers are the victims of their poor decision. My question is, what's next? Does OOTP have the rights to the KBO? If OOTP is honest about what their games contain (ex.- Use it either for MLB or fictional only), people will be less upset than if OOTP markets a feature then deletes it.

OOTP explicitly has rights to the KBO (I think through their parent company even) and MLB, and frankly no other country in the world has quite the level of pro-big business law (no, not even the US) and, how shall I say this, nationalistic anti-Koreanism than the particular country that is blocking the particular league. It is what it is but I don’t expect the Dutch honkball league to follow suit, no.

For what it's worth...Topps (trading card company) has a licensing agreement with ***.

At this point the game should only ship with MLB and KBO. Let everything be a user created mod

In which there is going to be zero interest in using the KBO...so why even pay for the license? Use the money to improve the MLB part of the game. I realize it's now a Korean company, but the truth is, the audience for this game is primarily American, and without all of the other international leagues available, there is little point to running the KBO in concert with MLB.

I’m pretty sure they get the KBO license more or less for free because Com2Us already has it. There’s no oodles of money to spend on anything.

Well no, you still can’t create anything from Japan…which is really just SO over the top. It’s the equivalent of someone purchasing an erector set and being told they can’t replicate the Empire State Building.

I just wonder what league will he next? They see this and will be like we want compensation or you remove our intellectual property . For some smaller leagues, any kind of licensing would be a financial windfall

I doubt it…I feel this is likely a result of Kanomi/Japanese culture. But I guess never say never.

The other Caribbean leagues are too focused on just making it from year to year. The Mexican league is technically AAA, so no dice there. |

Mexican league is not under the MiLB umbrella anymore. And your take on the finances of these small leagues make my point. Even if it's only a small piece of each sale. It could go a long ways for a smaller league |

Here's one gripe nobody wants to address: It's not THAT big of a deal losing the league.
Why? There is no league history. It's just basically your own custom league with historical stats and no team histories or any of the stuff like with MLB. MLB and KBO have artwork due to licensing. The other leagues you can create from scratch, import the roster, import the stats (including if they played in MLB and KBO), import the custom stadiums, and go from there. If Italian Serie Baseball was licensed, the artwork would be there. Dr. Park did all of this for MANY years. So did STLKyle. I did this with various European Leagues.

Nope. It is officially listed as an international league and no longer AAA level.
