How cxome these threads are never about big teams? I was sure this was going to be either about the Ducks or the Wild, why wasn't it about Ottawa or something?

On a side note, in 30 minutes in Ottawa, I counted 55 cars with Senators flags on them. Back in Montréal, I saw 3.

Well, mostly because more people expected Ottawa to be this far into the playoffs.

Tell me last January that the Wild and Ducks would be in the conference finals and I would have choked laughing so hard.

Not people in Canada. They're the butt end of many a joke, because they can never seem to go far in the playoffs.

Yeah, I've seen that. History of talented regular seasons but nothing else.

But, notice I didn't say anything except that more people thought they'd go this far. (implied: more people than thought the Wild and Ducks would.)

I'm not a big fan of hockey, but playoff hockey always brings out the best in the sport.

The Minnesota Wild and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim have done a marvelous job of marketing the NHL as an exciting product (for me at least...i'm sure most of you already love the sport).

This Giguire (sp?) kid is amazin though. I'm really impressed with his work. He has even given ESPN reason to come up with their list of the best goalies from each decade. That kid is gonna be a great goalie.

I'm majorly impressed with "Jiggy". He's been flawless the last two games. Completely flawless.

No offense YP but if you think that's exciting, you don't watch much hockey. I love hockey and you couldn't pay me enough to watch the boring style those two teams play. If either one of those teams is successful year to year with that kind of style it will cripple the game even more then it already is.

He certainly seems like the real deal but let's see him do it a couple of times before we call him the second coming of Roy. Jim Carey, Steve Penney to name a few have played out of their heads for a playoff year and I'll bet you've never heard of either of them Hell there have been others but even a hockey nut like me can't remember their names.

Uhhh.... wasn't Jim Carey in "The Mask"?

Steve Penney now looks like Homer Simpson. He really does, I saw him on tv the other day...

And the correct spelling is Jean-Sébastien Giguère.

<--- See my new avatar?

Honestly, I would have been talking about Ottawa (my 2nd fav team) since the first round, but my Canucks were in it. Now that they're not, I'm all about the Sens baby!
