Hey folks,

unfortunately we still haven't received approval from Steam to launch the game, it is still stuck in their review queue. So we will most likely not launch at 8 AM ET, but rather later in the day.

If there are further delays, we'll let you know ASAP. Sorry for all this

It's 8:46pm Friday in New Zealand so I have the luxury of probably waking up to the game on Saturday morning.

At 8 am the status on Steam switched from "Available in less than an hour" to "Coming soon. This item is not yet available." Sigh. Thx for keeping us updated Markus

1.15PM UK time and says Coming Soon still. Also when you search the store page the suggested list doesn't show OOTP23 unless you type it in fully. This will make customers think its not out, just to let you guys know as this will affect sales when they finally release it

Pardon my ignorance, but if I just pre-order the game, I don't use Steam, does that still mean the game is pending or has the final build been released, just not for Steam?

Currently says it will unlock in around 7 hours, so I'm guessing it got approved

I have pre-ordered the game and I got a serial number, are all downloads via Steam? I didn't get a link for the Beta , just the serial number. Its confusing to people as we couldn't pre-order using Steam but no download links mentioned anywhere I can see

No, you will receive a download link via email. We will also post the Fastspring-version download links on the forums once they are available...

they need to launch the game across all platforms at the same time, so when it becomes available on steam, anyone that preordered will get a new email with a link to the final/live version to download.

since steam is still not available, those emails have apparently not gone out (i havent gotten one), but when they do, you will need to follow the link to a new installer

We have not heard back from Steam yet, so this is likely just a placeholder.

Thanks ! I am in Europe and was wondering - I just finished work early for the day and hoped to download it and didn't see it on the site. So, a little more patience, but good to know it is still planned for today. But - since I don't really know what Steam is - why aren't you able to send the download link to those of us who buy it directly from you guys?

Anyway, look forward to it.
