Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

Why does every one have the same shoes??? It ruins the experience! I will not buy another version until they make the shoes customized.
Ok, I kid (mostly). As a pant doubter I will admit the new feature is a nice touch.

One real complaint though.
I do wish they had more options for logos on caps and jerseys. I select auto load for logos and get a small/large team logo, then go to ball cap and hit auto load and a cap with the logo shows up but if I change color of the cap the logo goes away and when I go in to manual select the logo, I can’t find it or if I do find one with the same name, it looks completely different than the team logo. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I don’t think so.

I wish they would use the ballcap logo to also tie it in to the batter helmet logo (which doesn't exist right now). Seems simple but I'm no programmer.

Saw mention that the cap logos for historical teams are subject to licensing so they won't be changeable.

The players also hover just above the batters box too, which was the case in 21, so you know, don't close in too much (or make your pitch view overhead).

High Heat had shoes 23 years ago. Why OOTP doesn't baffles me.

High Heat had a huge studio behind it and was a big ticket game sold in game stores. OOTP is an online only game made by a tiny dev team, even as they've grown since the solo days of Markus alone. I'm fascinated by the demand for all this 3D stuff, I'm amazed at how the game has grown in that way given the constraints. But I don't play games out, so I'm just not the audience. Facegen w/jerseys & caps is fine enough for me. But always interesting to see the stuff folks seek out for immersion.

High Heat had bunt homeruns. Why OOTP doesn’t have those is beyond me.

I saw one of those in real life! Actually I caused it
In high school I fielded a bunt along the third base line and
my throw went by the first baseman and far, far away.
(there was no fence on the right side of the field and no ground rule apparently)
Was really a bunt single and three base error LOL

I remember a play I saw in High Heat where I bunted and the ball popped up and then it carried into left… and I was like “hahaha this is really carrying for a bunt”… then it kept carrying into the outfield and I was like “okay, what !?” and then it literally kept carrying over the fence and I turned it off.

High Heat was a huge headache and disappointment.

I am glad you actually got to play it. It was broken so much on my rig at the time I never got to see a bunt home run.

Hmm, I didn't know about this problem. My son loves soccer and I am a member of the chat group for moms browsing this section at school. I am the administrator of this group. We recently decided to buy matching uniforms for our boys because their team will be playing their first game this season. We have not yet chosen the type and brand of uniforms. However, I feel like these moms are relying on my choice in this matter. I will find it online on a website with various sportswear gear. I hope they have a logo feature. What do you recommend doing if they don't have one? I'm not going to order elsewhere because this one is proven and the products are original.

I understand the wide-range of user experiences that can happen (not to mention the very last version of HH was pretty buggy), but there were several really good releases and the addon Mods made the game really fun for me. Played it for several years and it was my gateway into OOTP.

Me too! I originally hoped to be able to use OOTP to create/control rosters, then I realized I didn't care about thumb-jockeying the games myself.

SSHH 2k1 was the peak, I remember getting later version(s?) but didn't do much with them. I ripped the soundtrack and play it while I play OOTP to this day.

And long live invisible fireworks after a homer!

I thought High Heat was a pretty good game for its time

Also found it to be a BIG improvement over EA's Triple Play Series where anyone could hit 500' + HR's. I remember Griffey Jr hitting 600' HR's in the Derby. Just too arcadey for me.
