Is it supposed to do this?

Just had a bench clearing brawl between the Cubs and Brewers. Didn't show Contreras charging the mound, it just went to a purple screen with the play by play dialogue. When I hit the continue button it went back to normal. Never had seen a brawl before and I was wondering if this is normal or if something is off someplace.

Just a glitch in the presentation. Every now and then I get this while playing out a game. No rhyme or reason as to why or when.

If it happens before an AB the cure is to go to my team menu and back to game and the stadium is back. This also works for replays of normal action.
Not a 100% sure but don't know why it wouldn't work for a replay of a brawl.
But you do have to hit the f10 replay button before continuing on to the next batter.

Or you should see it if you watch a replay of the game. I don't think highlights would have a brawl but, don't know for sure.

The 3D engine has not yet implemented brawls. There are a few rare plays it doesn’t know how to show yet. Bear in mind that the game engine produces the result first and then hands it over to the 3D engine (also the play by play text) to show.

Your brawl must have involved nudity.

Don't the players come on the field kind of like for a walk off? Been awhile since I've had a brawl but pretty sure it works that way.

I realize the topic is more about the 3d generation; but, regarding brawls; I've noticed a significant decrease in the number of brawls in OOTP22 vs OOTP20 and prior versions (I skipped OOTP21 - so not sure if a decrease was noticeable there).

It's too predictable in the game, anyway. I've never seen anything happen other than the pitcher and the hitter both get suspended, and only those two players. I guess that means anybody can be suspended, unless you somehow have a guy who never bats or pitches, but the execution feels kind of static. It's not as big of a problem as the fact that every crash in Motorsport Manager involves only one car.

And alway instigated by a hit by pitch just after/preceded by a homer. Never a collision on the base paths or at the start of an inning

Totally enjoy the players in 3D celebrating a walk-off, even when it is against me.
