Ootp 23?
Will we get an OOTP 23 this year? I was curious because I haven’t seen anything and can’t find anything about it. So I was wondering does the lockout effect this with having an MLB and MLBPA license? Sorry if this has been answered but I haven’t seen it.

I would take "expect to be ready in April" to mean "arriving in late April" and usually they start to talk about features in the new version around when they consider themselves completely feature-locked, usually a month or so in advance. If I had to guess, they're running into a snag on some new feature and don't want to drop it out of the release entirely, but that's pure speculation on my part.

Not always. Last year, for instance, they announced the pre-order but not what we could expect in 22. The announcement of just what 22 would include came after the announcement of the pre-order so those of us who did pre-order did so on blind faith. I remember remarking, and others agreed, that before we buy something it would nice to know just what it is we're purchasing.

Any delay in pre-ordering or feature announcements may be due to the CBA results. It might take some time to calibrate schedules, rules, and other operational content.

Hoping this version is the one that finally rates pitchers based on how fast or slow they are in terms of how they operate on the mound. For example, Steve Trachsel was well known for being very methodical and taking forever between pitches. So say it normally takes you 5 to 10 minutes to play out a game of OOTP. How cool would it be if Markus and Company could find a way for it to take 20 or 30 minutes to play that same game if Steve Trachsel is on the mound? This is something I've been wanting for years.

...and another 15 minutes if Logan Morrison is batting?
