Any tricks to help battery life?

Title says it all. Battery drain is significant on my iPhone X, wondering if there are any tricks to make the battery last longer. Not playing the game isn't an option.

My phone gets hot when I’m managing a game. My laptop on the computer version gets hot with 3D as well but does not with 2D. Because of that and other reasons, I mostly play 2D on the full version which remedies battery issues there. However, 2D isn’t an option yet on Go, so for now at least, I’ve been using Go for “GM only” saves. Haven’t had any issues playing in this way which I’m happy with, especially since my phone would get extremely hot and drain the battery quickly in the old MLB Manager games even just simming.

Is your battery draining while playing games only or with having the app open in general? Sorry that my response isn’t very helpful. This is what I’ve experienced though and how I’m getting enjoyment from the game. I’m hopeful that 2D is added soon and that it helps the playability of managing games!

By "manager mode" I assume you mean just simming the games? Is it possible to do that in a way other than going into the game and simming until end? If so, I haven't been able to find it. Having to set everything onto AI before each game I don't play is fine but also a little annoying.

You can go under the PLAY header and hit finish today to advance it a day and sim your game. It also gives auto-play for a week or until certain dates as well.

I experienced similar battery drain with previous versions of the game on my phone; I don't think Go is putting more strain on it than expected. Battery life is still fine for everyday use, despite the age of the phone. I think it's just the price we pay for playing the game. If it would make a significant difference in battery life, it would be nice if there were a mode that ditched the animation and just did PbP like the older versions. But I don't know if that would really help much, given that the older games didn't have the animation and still worked the phone pretty hard.

Turn off bluetooth. I notice it drains my phone and tablet crazy fast and I don't normally need it on anyway.

I understand all the things you can do to prolong battery life with respect to general phone settings, I was asking specifically about settings within the game.
