Starting pitcher in relief

-pitching settings have "use starters in relief" set to "no"
-the bullpen has 4 fully rested relievers ready to go
-game 6 of this tourney is comfortably in hand 6-1 heading into the bottom of the 8th

and the AI brings in my game 7 starter to pitch 2 innings of relief?!!?

seriously??

Now I get to roll into game 7 of a tourney semi-finals with a starting pitcher who isn't at 100% because my number 2 starter is at 4% after pitching a lousy 2 innings to close out the previous game.

ok..... wtf.... my long reliever starts game 7

and my number 3 starter who should have started the game is brought in as a reliever in the 8th?

just cost me a shot at 10 packs in the finals

Do you have the Use Openers slider on the strategy page pulled all the way to the left?

This has happened to me, too. I have the same settings as you and use openers turned off. I went into player strategy and forced each starting pitcher's position to starter and overrode team strategy. Hoping that does the trick. Will keep you posted. Otherwise, this is a horrendous bug lol

This seems to have fixed the problem. Going into player strategy, forcing each starting pitcher's position to starter, and overriding team strategy. I did not have any of my starters come into a game as a reliever the entire playoffs (14 games)...and won the Bronze Level title as a bonus.
