Positional ratings reset?

I just started playing and I was trying out players at new positions while in the entry pool.

Their progress reset to 0, Is that because I was in the entry pool or does that always happen?

In years past new position progress would stay with the player.

I'm pretty positive it's an entry pool thing. I'm 100% sure that you can train players for regular league play. Training doesn't work in tournaments, nor can you use trained-up ratings in tournaments.

Yes, that is just an entry pool thing. Training only sticks once you are in real leagues. With that said on rare occasions a player will lose his training even when you have moved well beyond entry pool. I have had it happen to a couple players in PT21. Out of the amount of players I have trained it is only a tiny fraction of a percent but those glitches do in fact happen.
