Prospect with higher current ratings than potential
I've never seen this before but I've come across a prospect who has significantly higher current ratings than potential ratings. And those are the pure ratings within the editor. Can any explain why this is?

It makes sense to me because guys might be outperforming their potential or they might be on the downward slope of their career.

He's an 18 year old prospect so I don't think he's on the downward slope of his career. I have yet to play a single game in this league, so I don't think the rating is based on him overperforming either.

Generally this means he got a ratings hit - young players are prone to getting these - and you should expect to see his actual drop to his potentials over time.

I believe syd is right. Because the game generates a lot of players at one time when creating a new game you'll see some really young players generate fully developed every now and again, and his potentials went ahead and took a small dip from their starting levels.
