American Flag waving @ Yanks/Jays game

Did anybody else notice the guy in Center Field waving the star spangled banner after the Ventura HR? Everybody in the Yankee dougout was looking at it. I thought I saw some of the fans looking too. I guess it has something to do with Canada's refusal to join the US in "operation Iraqi freedom".

The fans did a great job of cheering and applauding the American national anthem before the game. There was some speculation that they might not, but they did.

As for the American flag waving. There's always a lot of Yankees fans at Bluejays games and you'll always see a couple flag wavers. Since Yankees games are so hard or expensive to get tickets for, a lot of NY fans, especially those in northwest NY state, will make the short trip to Toronto to see them play there.

...there was also a banner during God Bless America that someone held up saying "All Bless Iraq" ...and it wasn't even me!
